Adobe Learning Platform Manager is excellent for continuing education, professional training, and lifelong learning formats. It has reports and options that make it very suitable for an agile and non-bureaucratic management. Perhaps due to the type of functionalities, format and tools available, it is less suitable for formal education formats, university courses or school courses for children.
I develop training and offer support to my clients who use Adobe Captivate. When I need a platform for the courseware to be housed or when I need to demonstrate uploading and managing courseware on an LMS I use Adobe Learning Manager.
Pros
Allows users to upload a variety of different learning materials. Thanks to the Fluidic Player all types of content can easily be displayed to learners.
Most LMS are capable of level 1 and 2 evaluations but Adobe Learning Manager gives users the ability to capture level 3 data. Users can report on behavior change in the workplace.
Configuring courses to make modules mandatory and enforce a variety of completion strategies is easy to configure when adding new courses.
Cons
I have some clients who would prefer to turn off the fluidic player for Adobe Captivate courseware. In many cases the player is unecessary and can get in the way of accessing the material in the way the designer/developer intended.

Many LMS are extremely expensive to implement. Adobe Learning Manager is an affordable solution that grows with you. Organizations can start with monthly fees of less than $50 and allow the LMS to grow as their organization grows. The cost only increases when you increase your workforce.
Another benefit is that you don't require expensive servers installed at your organization. Adobe Learning Manager is a cloud solution that gives organizations a real turnkey solution.
Also, your instructional designers don't need to be experts in designing and developing eLearning. The fluidic player allows them to upload all sort of media consumed by the organization. Content can be video, PowerPoint, PDF files, and other formats.
It’s being used by all of our subsidiary organizations for management and personal/professional development. Hoping to grow it to be used by the umbrella organization for employee onboarding.
Pros
Filtering of different activities.
Unique attendance tracking opportunities.
A variety of use cases for platform because of numerous useful features.
Cons

We use Adobe Captivate Prime with our International Students doing ELICOS courses in Australia. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, this software has helped us make a move to online learning and has been great at training our students and staff. It addresses the lack of face-to-face training by making a comprehensive digital learning experience.
Pros
Easy to use
Free trial
Modern style
Reliable
Cons
It's more expensive that its competitors
Not widely known by general audience
So many options that it can be quite daunting

I would say that Adobe Captivate Prime is a great software in 2022 when you need to make a move to the digital world and have less face to face interactions with customers/clients/employees. It will be great to train new staff that would be working from home and does presentations with new clients without having to meet them in person.

I work in eLearning and help clients set up LMS platforms for their teams to be able to learn new skills and improve their work efficiency. When looking at a potential LMS, some things that I look at include the cost, the learning tools/modules that are available, and the learning curve. Most clients do not have time to do all of this so they hire us to find a solution for them. Over the years, we have chosen Adobe Captivate [Prime] because it brings together a seamless experience for companies that are vested in the Adobe ecosystem as well as those that want a good LMS with reporting tools.
Pros
Adobe Captivate [Prime] has good learning formats that are adaptable to different organizational needs. Whether it's on-demand or instructor-led, you can select what's best for you and your organization. You can also track achievements and learning progress.
For managers and leaders, you can see customized reports that you can export to track team and member learning. While the reports are not comprehensive, you can at least customize them.
It is very mobile-friendly.
Cons
I feel the user interface is a bit outdated and while it works fine with most devices, [it] could do with a refresh. Other LMS platforms have better UI's even if they do not have the same functions.
Pricing feels out of touch for most SMEs and it feels a bit like the tool is designed for larger enterprise types rather than including SMEs.
Likelihood to Recommend
I have found that Adobe Captivate [Prime] is ideal for organizations with more than 200 employees as the cost ratio is somewhat more effective. It also works best for those within the creative/media industry with the tight integration with Adobe Creative Cloud. For organizations that are smaller, it may be challenging to justify the cost even though the experience would be great.
Adobe Captivate Prime is used by a small business unit to provide technical training content to their external business partners. The aim here is to have them attend content to keep individuals up to date on topics and technologies. By doing so the partner will be allowed to continue within the partner program which is recognised by the customers.
Pros
Pretty simple setup
Good for smaller implementations
Probably good for schools and similar educational institutions in the way its designed.
Cons
The documentation leaves quite a few things to be desired. The basics seem to be there, but frequently I come across options and settings that are not covered in the documentation and need support help to clarify.
Missing explanations within the UI makes some setup longer than needed as one doesn't know if an option is relevant for a setup or not.
I feel the intended design for educational institutions makes it a little less flexible for other uses.
Likelihood to Recommend
The system seems particularly well suited for education, schools, and similar institutions. This wasn't exactly what I was intending the system to be used for, but I didn't have a say in the selection of the system. I have managed to make it work partly because the system allows renaming of the User Interface text. At least for the user. The renaming isn't going all the way through the system hence creating potential confusion for those running reports. Something that can be overcome with a little training on the system. More problematic I think is the fact that renaming only works in English when users have the option to switch to either German or French.
Adobe Captivate Prime is being used to turn a Digital Photography Camp from in-person to an online version. External customers purchase the Online Camp and students access the course via a web link. The course was created and then uploaded to AWS as a web host.
Pros
It cross transfers with other Adobe software really well.
It has the ability to create VR where other e-learning software lacks.
There are plenty of experts in the field where you can access training on the software or ask questions.
Cons
Its not as user friendly as Storyline.
If you don't have an LMS then it is difficult to find a way to publish the e-learning you have created.
Likelihood to Recommend
If the team member or student has access to a computer and internet then they can use the course. Some skills are best learned in person and the skills cannot be simulated in an online course.
E-learning with Adobe Captivate is used to do great work. Although not all departments use this product yet, our goal is for all employees to use it. Adobe Captivate's intended use is content development. It is used to make it understandable for students and teachers in current lessons. School leadership actually wants to create a more common usage environment.
Pros
You can easily prepare projects with Adobe Captivate.
Makes it easier to prepare test and evaluation questions and format them with different formats.
Easy to work with interactive objects.
Tools are clear and simple.
Cons
Must have a longer trial version.
Preset setting should be better done.
more user-friendly interfaces can be used.
