Adobe Learning Manager Review

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I'm not using this one because I'm a reseller, but the main companies that I'm trying to resell, are using it for internal training content that they are providing to their own resources.

Pros

  • I think the way that the tool does the beginning to the end of the path of the training for research. I mean, when I start to use this one, I can check all my life inside the tool about learning.

Cons

  • I think that the license model is not a good one because sometimes it does not fit what the customer is asking us. So I think that should be a little flexible, the license model can be better.

Likelihood to Recommend

The best part is for internal training. For the HR area of the whole company deserves a tool for learning. So I think that the best part is working with the HR resources.

Review of Adobe Learning Manager

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our organization/institution employs several approved learning management systems. Adobe Learning Manager, which we also were familiar to as Adobe Captive Prime, was utilized for in-house learning for professional development and training or re-skilling for our post-graduate level of professional skills and development. The reason we utilized this product was a colleague who was familiar with gamified training products had recommended this.

Pros

  • Personalized learning - there are ways to set-up the learning path that is most useful to each learner.
  • Gamification - this allowed for a more engaging and interactive way to deploy training and received positive feedback.
  • Analytics and Insights - the reporting options and mechanisms available are quite helpful to get feedback on training progress and helps provide insight on what is working well.

Cons

  • View on different devices is inconsistent in experience. For example on the desktop it seems find but on handheld devices like mobile or smaller tablets the display is not as good.
  • We found that users had to clear cache and history to troubleshoot quite often relative to other applications.
  • It would be great to have more automated marking as completed as sometimes we found this had to be done more manually.

Likelihood to Recommend

Good for simple in-house training and professional development to re-skill or up-skill existing workforce with a new and engaging learning management system that offers relatively good reporting. More appropriate for training to be done on desktop or laptop. Less appropriate for scenarios where training is expected to occur using smaller devices as the primary hardware used by the trainee.

One of the Best Learning Management Solution in the Market!!

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Adobe Learning Manager is used as Learning management system in our organization. It is being used across all departments. However, it is mostly used by the Delivery, Sales, and Project management teams. The intuitive interface helps create the learning experiences instantly and the best part is that the content can be directly pulled or consumed from the existing Enterprise system with ease.

Pros

  • Prefect enterprise-ready platform that is scalable
  • Managing training content centrally and sharing it with the teams across the globe
  • Automating Learning journeys

Cons

  • Adobe Learning Manager lags sometimes when multiple people are using the platform at the same time
  • Sometime courses fail to load and users face problems to complete the courses
  • Can do better in the customer support as it takes minimum of 2 days to resolve them

Likelihood to Recommend

Adobe Learning Manager is best suited for large enterprises, where the content is decentralized and becomes hard to manage the multiple courses maintained by different teams. Adobe Learning Manager is the one-stop solution to have a centralized system to manage all the content and share it across teams spread across the globe. It might not be suitable for small enterprises as it is a bit expensive to afford.

One of the Great LMS in the market

Rating: 7 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Adobe's LMS is used by our company in managing the learning courses, one-on-one mentoring session. The company also used them in upscale the skills of the employees. The LMS is used mainly for Sales & Marketing Department. It only used for internal purpose. The multiple course selection helps the employees to grow own their own time limitations. The company provide reward criteria as well for completing the specific set of programs.

Pros

  • The easy UI helps the employees to find the related content.
  • The learning calender has the feature of reminding the user.
  • It connects with other applications like Zoom that helps in arranging the live session effectively.
  • It has offline access support.

Cons

  • It has lack of internal conferencing feature. We always use third-party application for that.
  • As a manager, it is hard to compile the data. Need more robust analytical dashboard.

Likelihood to Recommend

I have been trying to explore some courses for Sales Department for grooming. And it is really easy for me to take that access. The enrollment feature helps me in discovering other departments courses and programs.

I have encountered an issue with the reporting purpose. During the employee review, I didn't able to find the time spend by the employee to complete one program. This is the flaw I have found because the learner may skip the learning lectures.

A Great Option

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used Adobe Captivate and Learning Manager to design and develop training for both corporate and retail Apple employees. This included engineers, program managers, Tech & merch pros in the stores, and so on. Apple is a very private company and so using cloud-based SaaS is a bit difficult therefore using native Adobe programs is the best option.

Pros

  • Single unified platform.
  • Ease of use.
  • Accessibility.
  • Personalization and curation.

Cons

  • Guidance and training.
  • Easier integration with Articulate and Rise 360.
  • Simple, modern templates and graphics.

Likelihood to Recommend

Adobe Learning Manager is perfect for an organization that's already bought in to the Adobe suite of products, including Captivate. If you have a large body of employees and/or various personas and learning journeys you need to support, it's a really viable solution. For companies that only have, say, internal employees to train, the number of features might be a bit of an overkill.

Adobe Captivate Prime is a Premium LMS!

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Adobe Captivate Prime to house CBTs and assessments that we design for our employees.

Pros

  • Adobe Captivate Prime makes it easy for me to organize Computer Based Training (CBTs) into curriculum sets.
  • Adobe Captivate Prime makes it easy to evaluate and training students remotely.
  • Adobe Captivate Prime can accommodate large numbers of students that need to be trained at the same time.

Cons

  • Setting up time values for each CBT is somewhat difficult in Adobe Captivate Prime
  • Adobe Captivate Prime's way of adding and deleting users could be improved.
  • Retrieving learning metrics could be improved in Adobe Captivate Prime

Likelihood to Recommend

Adobe Captivate Prime is well suited for training very large groups remotely that are geographically widely dispersed. When a previous company that I worked for won a FEMA contract, I was pleased to see how well Adobe Captivate Prime handled what could have been utter chaos.

Adobe's e-learning invention

Rating: 9 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Adobe Captivate Prime mainly for learning and development, for both internal and external users. We prepare the courses, publish, and upload [them] into our LMS. To design multiple courses in [a] more engaging way, Adobe Captivate Prime is useful. I definitely recommend this software to every e-learning developer to address their issues. Sometimes it [is] slow, and also we face problems with the larger files.

Pros

  • Software simulation
  • AR/VR videos
  • PPT to storyboard
  • Corporate-level storyboarding

Cons

  • Gallery
  • Icon collection
  • Internal security

Likelihood to Recommend

Adobe Captivate Prime is well suited for PPT to storyboard conversion and AR/VR video preparations. Also, this is helpful in e-learning development, content engagement, and video creation. There is [a] feature for software simulation. But there is other software [that] can be more helpful for the simulation recordings compared to Adobe Captivate Prime. This is best for course creation and upgrading.

Good for beginners, but, [in my opinion,] it’ll leave them wanting for more.

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are using it to develop bespoke product demos of our customer-facing software products. Its goal is to familiarize customers with our platform by using videos as context for a use case. Customers can complete these use cases with Adobe Captivate [Prime] score packages.

Pros

  • Templates
  • Object placement
  • Text positioning

Cons

  • It crashes randomly and I’ve become an anxious saver because of it.
  • Reports are bare-bones.

Likelihood to Recommend

I’d suggest an 8 because of the learning curve and it can feel daunting to new users. It’s well suited for customers who are just beginning their LMS/authoring tool journey. I think it works well for catered audience types, like location, language, and versioning.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Adobe Captivate Prime is being primarily used by our organization by a specific department. The department is related to eCommerce which has around more than 1000 employees. Adobe Captivate Prime addresses the lack of knowledge related to eCommerce platforms like Magento. This is being used for employee training but not the external training.

Pros

  • Very well trained professionals teaching about the latest technology.
  • Very detailed training modules.
  • Must have product to learn Magento.

Cons

  • Collection of catalogs can be more clear.

Likelihood to Recommend

Scenarios, where Adobe Captivate Prime is well suited, are
  • when you are new to eCommerce Magento technology it will be a great start to excel in it.
  • when you are a developer or Business Analyst
  • to encourage team members to learn
Scenarios where Adobe Captivate Prime is less appropriate
