The Adobe Acrobat system is very extensive, with many features and is very complete. We focused specifically on using Adobe Acrobat as a PDF system, mainly to be able to use these documents, read, edit them, or make any adjustments. We are happy because it has provided an optimal solution for us and we were able to achieve our goal of basically testing the system and gradually adapting to its tools.

Adobe Acrobat is one of the finest comprehensive tool we see for all our pdf documents editing and working. We use this product for safe document handling and efficiently working on those without needing any other tools. Very versatile environment of this tool we just love the way it works and make our daily routine smooth.

Pros

  • User interface is quite easy to understand the product even from the first day of using.
  • Formatting, editing, and signature like anything we need to do in our PDF brochures we can is hassle-free.
  • Turn any format documents into pdf, merging much more by maintaining privacy.

Cons

  • OCR feature is the biggest room for improvement because I still feel lag in output of this feature
  • Adding text fields in forms is difficult and annoying as well. Matching filters with existing text is also a change, it needs to be automated.
  • Features are based on subscriptions so I believe there can be some user friendly subscriptions model needs to be introduced.

Editing any pdf , merging pdf , converting different formats into pdf formats, OCR scans , creating editable forms , doing document signatures in one go ,highling and annotate are all the features which we used daily in maintaing creating our bonds , brochures and leads details.

It is not very appropriate for the OCR related things.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are a large law firm with many users and types of work to be completed. Adobe Acrobat allows our users to make and edit PDFs easily and then send them out to be eSigned all in the product. There are many very helpful tools available in the app which adds to it's overall value.

Pros

  • Editing PDFs
  • Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
  • eSign
  • Easy to script upgrades

Cons

  • In our experience, high overall user cost
  • In my opinion, terrible contracts for customers
  • Massive installer. Our most recent is over 3GB

Likelihood to Recommend

Adobe Acrobat is great for users\companies that need to edit and create PDFs. The product works well most of the time, but, in my experience, the company is a hassle to work with. You can only decrease your seat count once a year. In my opinion, Adobe Acrobat knows they are the best and they charge accordingly. We are frequently getting emailed and called from sales reps looking to "save us money", but always results in a monthly cost higher than we currently have.

A Great Tool That Provides Fast And Secure Document Transmission

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Adobe Acrobat is used as a final format in which documents and reports are circulated throughout our company. In it's un-editable version, it allows for standard viewing, with the file's format remaining neat and clean whilst scrolling up or down or zooming in or out. Alternatively, Adobe Sign is used for documents requiring a signature. This offers a "read only" version of a file but includes the ability to insert a signature or sign one's name with the use of a mouse or touch screen. It's compatibility and synchronization with every day tools such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel makes it the number one choice in our organization.

Pros

  • Standardizes file formats
  • Clean and neat view
  • Synchronizes with Microsoft Office tools

Cons

  • I have yet to detect, through use, any way in which the program should improve

Likelihood to Recommend

In this aspect I would like to elaborate on the way in which Adobe Acrobat is synchronized directly into Microsoft Word, thereby making it easy to save a file directly from Word to PDF format. This is the same within Microsoft Excel. PDF provides for secure transmission and circulation, which is beneficial for any company.

Adobe Acrobat is an important tool for everyone in our organization

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Acrobat DC to edit pdf documents, combine pdf documents, and to save and send documents that were created in word or excel. I use Acrobat to create letters that will be emailed, as well as letters that I don’t want to be edited by anyone else. I like being able to create binders of several different types of documents/ pictures / graphs.

Pros

  • Combined pdf documents into a single document
  • Edits pdf documents seamlessly
  • Being able to add, move or delete pages within a multi page document

Cons

  • the free version has very limited editing options
  • the pro version is costly for an individual
  • sometimes the editing tools in the pro version are difficult to find

Likelihood to Recommend

Acrobat is great for sending documents via email or text - as the document opens regardless of whether you are working on a mac or pc, iphone or android. The pro version makes it easy to convert documents to pdf, and to combine several pages/files into a single pdf. Photos, powerpoint slides, and spreadsheets can all be converted.

Sometimes though, turning excel documents into pdfs can be time consuming, to get the sizing right.

Ill keep using it as long as its part of Adobe CC

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I most often use it to review digital PDF documents that we design for our clients. Things like reports, ebooks, book covers, Infographics, case studies, and white papers. I sometimes use it to edit or sign documents, but less often now. I usually use docusign for document signing, and keep Adobe Acrobat for reviewing PDF assets that we deliver to clients.

Pros

  • Hyperlinked digital publications
  • Digital documents
  • Print publications

Cons

  • Docusign documents
  • Easier live text editing
  • Faster ways to reorganize and split up documents

Likelihood to Recommend

Adobe Acrobat is particularly well suite for reviewing designs for print publications. When I design a book cover or the interior of a book or magazine in InDesign, I always export a PDF and review the final file to assure how it will look like in print and for the printer. It's also excellent for long digital PDFs where you might wanted a hyperlinked table of contents and hyperlinks within the text.

Must-have tool for productivity

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Adobe Acrobat is a useful tool for our organization. We use it to create documents to share with employees. The process for acquiring electronic signatures on documents has been improved greatly with the addition of Adobe Acrobat. Having employees at a distance is less of a problem due to our use of Adobe Acrobat.

Pros

  • Electronic signatures
  • Creating new documents
  • Editing existing documents

Cons

  • Clearer guidance on account limits
  • Periodic glitches in the browser version
  • Variation between the browser and desktop versions

Likelihood to Recommend

Adobe Acrobat is well suited for creating pdf files to send to our employees. It is helpful edit files that need to be condensed for email purposes. There are other tools better suited for some file editing steps, but Adobe Acrobat is perfect when pages need to be removed or text/comments need to be added.
