Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Acronis Cyber Backup Cloud both internally across our whole organization and for the customers we manage as our primary backup and disaster recovery solution. It gives us the ability to facilitate business continuity from a data/system backup and recovery perspective. With Acronis, we can more easily recover from unavoidable system failures and user errors that would normally result in loss of data or productivity.

Pros

Single pane of glass for managing customer tenants
Quick and reliable backup recovery
Both onsite and offsite backup destinations are supported

Cons

Integrations with third-party products like ConnectWise Manage and ConnectWise Automate do not function as well as they could
Inconsistent endpoint stability with new version releases
Constant changes in licensing models are confusing

Acronis Cyber Backup Cloud works very well in Managed Service Provider environments where there is a need for a single provider to manage backup and disaster recovery for multiple small and medium-sized businesses.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We utilize Acronis Cyber Cloud across our organization and for all of our clients. Acronis Cyber Cloud addresses our Backup/Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity plans. In addition to backup, Acronis is utilized to migrate servers from physical to virtual or vice versa.

Pros

Image backup.
File folder backup.
Virtual machine replication.
Workstation backup.
Server backup.

Cons

We would like to see a Virtual Machine test option to test the ability to boot your backups as seen in some competing backup softwares.

Likelihood to Recommend

Acronis Cyber Cloud is well suited in any environment where backup is needed. Whether it is backing up a single workstation, 10 servers, or replicating a Virtual machine to another Virtual Host.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are using Backup 12 (standard edition) to back up local environment (VMware machines, 2 physical windows servers). It is used by our (IT) department.

Pros

Up to date UI, convenient central management interface, web-based console (we use local web console)
Good to backup all machines (PC, windows server, Vmware) using a single tool

Cons

More features needed - tapes support, more advanced deduplication
