MoEngage is well suited for all tech-enabled businesses, as then one can integrate all the possible events or relevant metrics, push them on MoEngage, and then make meaningful insights out of that, and--most importantly--use those for improving their customer engagement. It's probably not suited for offline-only businesses, stores, etc.

I could not begin to think of a situation where marketing
automation is not appropriate, particularly for small and medium-sized
businesses that often times are challenged with fewer resources. Lead
generation, customer acquisition, conversion, and reselling all require the
consistency and fluidity that marketing automation can provide. For Capitol
Corridor, we are limited by the capacity of our trains, so we cannot oversell. By
doing so, we would lose business. And we’ve leveraged marketing automation to
help us manage our train capacity as well as create transparency in our service
available to help close deals successfully.

  • Service level is quite bad when escalating issues
  • Scalability is not the best when taking on high growth usage

  • Social media interactions are not captured (i.e. you cannot make a case from a post)

It's good and mostly on-time support. But they have a lot of demand, hence at times, they take some time to get back to us. Overall, they know their game and most of the people we spoke with knew their domain very well.

Alternatives Considered
These have nearly the same features, an almost 90% overlap. Pricing- and support-wise MoEngage is better. Also, it's good for both app and web, whereas CleverTap is mostly mobile-centric and WebEngage is web-centric.
