Securly Filter vs. TitanHQ DNS Filtering

Securly Filter works great in schools with Managed devices, especially if you have a one to one take home program. If you don't have Managed devices, it's possible to work around or disable. If you're not in a school environment, it will still work, but it doesn't seem to be designed with work environments in mind.

WebTitan DNS Filer is a great content filtering solution, this tool is recommended to use to prevent misuse of the network. WebTitan DNS Filer allows your users to automatically block the content they want at the time they want. It's very easy to use, it works very well, it's really good and affordable, plus it offers great cloud security features that are highly flexible to help protect data or meet the needs of the company you work for.

I don't like giving a 10 since everyone always has room for improvement, and while Securly is doing an awesome job, there is still room for improvement across the board.

Securly Filter integration with Google Workspace for education makes it an ideal pairing for K-12 institutions. It has a friendlier portal and more intuitive UI, particularly when retrieving activity logs. The policy customization is also far easier and responsive. That being said, it does not provide a full-fledged firewall like Untangle NG (nor many of the other useful features from NG, such as simple-to-deploy VPN).

I prefer WebTitan to Webroot. The configuration was much easier and support was more responsive with WebTitan.

• We are now able to offer our clients and enhanced level of security on the web
• End users can sometimes complain that sites they use are now blocked, IE. Streaming sites etc. but this is the plan
