SlickText vs. Textmagic

Very well suited for those getting started with SMS campaigns. It was easy for everyone on our team to pick up and get going without a lot of training. If you have mobile number lists in the hundreds of thousands I can see how it would be tough to manage with the lists, keywords, etc. I could be wrong as we are not in that space but that would be my assumption.

TextMagic is a wonderful solution for small businesses or non-profits just adding an SMS text service to their marketing outreach program. Very easy to set up and use. Customers seem to like SMS as a method of communication. Easily lets you keep in touch with them at a very nominal cost. Immediate feedback if they respond to your text on the dashboard through chat.

• The possibility to change the SMS provider to Twilio or others. It is not legal to forbid that but they find a way to bypass that.

I am very happy with how TextMagic is working. I don't see a reason to spend time searching for another solution when this works great at a good price. Customers have shown a good response to the text messages we have send. Very small percentage unsubscribed (but that was automated/easy).

Very easy to use. Intuitive website that our entire team has been able to quickly pick up. In my opinion it is the most user friendly interface of all the software we did demos with.

It has been very easy to use TextMagic to set up. The calculator showing character count which relates to cost is easy to see and adjust. The scheduling portion is also easy to set up and edit if needed. You can see history to copy wording if you need to. I have suggested to other friends that do not have a text service.

We felt SlickText was the most user friendly, budget friendly, and we liked the fact that they didn't balk at the fact we wanted to go month to month to start so we didn't end up in a long term commitment right out of the gate.

TextMagic just worked. Where Trello seemed like we needed to jump through a bunch of hoops to get it working, TextMagic was simple to set up. Everything seemed streamlined and easy to manage.

• We are receiving a click through rate anywhere between 12-20% on our renewal reminder texts
• Those people who click have a conversion rate of around 50% which is the best of any of the campaigns we run
• One negative could be if we start to use the tool for promotional texts then there may be a negative impact on the member experience. Need to use it in moderation

• It's just a small part of our communications with employees but they appreciate it very much!
• It is a very cost effective communications tool.
• There is no negative impact. I just need to remember to update the contact lists with any employee changes.
