Robly can become easily exploitable for advertising agency services, which rely mostly on stable dynamics to make sure that marketing campaigns work and provide enough results to see profits. In other words, if Robly is managed from a purely professional methodology, better results can be obtained. Robly can also be used to manage small sales where you can better organize information about a specific customer, such as their contact details and history of interactions through different sales operations by the company, so it is not only possible to focus its use on mass marketing, but also intimate businesses that require some degree of administrative control in relation to new message alert notifications. If used in conjunction with services oriented to the execution of seminar sessions or online classes, it is possible to send mailings to groups, where the content information of each session allows viewing different documents and material of various formats from the e-mail, and thus make the sessions to be held seem more attractive to the public. This strategy is very feasible if you are going to sell a product explaining its use and characteristics.

If you are a smaller business I would not recommend YesMail. You really need someone who is analytical and can understand hard to use products to get the most out of this email service provider

Pros
  • Ease of use. We switched to Robly from Constant Contact, and find it much more intuitive.
  • Reporting. At a glance, we can see how effective our campaigns have been.
  • I don't have a lot of experience with HTML, but I'm able to create good looking e-mails using the tools provided by Robly.
  • The price is right! Our non-profit saved money by switching from Constant Contact to Robly.

  • The biggest strength of YesMail is that it's good for churning out large amounts of emails. So if you constantly send out a lot of emails, newsletters, or promotions on a daily or weekly basis then YesMail is a good fit.
  • The reporting for YesMail is also above average. You're able to look at all the main metrics such as open rates, click rates, bounces, unsubscribes, etc. They also have a click map so you can optimize your emails based on where people are clicking within the email and what content they're clicking on.
  • YesMail also has a fairly good scrubbing process in place so if you have a lot of dead weight on your lists (email addresses that aren't active don't open, click or bounce out a lot) then YesMail will automatically remove these emails. For example if an email address has bounced 10 times in a row then YesMail will remove that email from its system.

Cons
  • The emails do not allow us to add certain tools that would improve our management in the case of data collection, such as the application of interactive surveys within these emails.
  • It does not integrate with services such as Survey Gizmo, which would be useful for structuring surveys.
  • It also does not integrate with sufficient cloud backup platforms, which forces us to export our customer list data manually, and this can lead to errors.

  • The Market Intelligence tool, while useful, and while it has a Deliverability Intelligence plug-in as well, is still a little rough. It's hard to sort through reports, and the location of different points of information between the "feed" and the list of marketers, is a little cumbersome to sort through.
  • The metrics available could use some updating and some clarification. There are quite a few caveats to reporting that aren't clearly stated. Ex. the clicks reported on a "click thru" report are TOTAL clicks, while the clicks reported on a Delivery and Response report are FIRST CLICK ONLY, while also the dashboard reports might show unique clicks and "clicks" (total clicks) but those numbers might also not match with the other two reports because dashboard reports are behind by 2 hours whereas the specific reports are pulling straight from the CRM within the system, and the dashboards are summaries generated every couple of hours from the CRM. All of those details took me a while to figure out, and I had to ask a lot of questions. But my account manager was always easy to get a hold of, and if he didn't know the answers to my questions he was quick about tracking down someone who did.

Likelihood to Renew
Because we like the price and value. The annual subscription model allows us to maximize usage without worrying too much about cost, being a small mom and pop outfit.

I do not have the buying decision to renew/change providers, but do have the ability to provide my feedback to those who do. Yesmail has a lot of kinks that need to be worked out. But, for those that just need to deploy emails, and house subscriptions, this is a decent platform to do so. Companies with more advanced campaign targeting/analysis needs should explore other service providers.

Usability
Overall Robly's usability can be considered easy and intuitive. For experienced marketing professionals this program would not be challenging to navigate even on the first uses. There may be a slight learning curve for amateur users but overall it is fairly simple and easy to use and creates professional results.

Overall it is easy to use but there's several different portals you must log into instead of having everything at your disposal in one place (reporting, emails, extracting data, etc).

We sometimes got through to a message taking service but they were not able to resolve our issue with a one-call solution necessarily always.

When trying to find an email platform to use with our company, we tried out three major softwares: Robly, Mailchimp, and Constant Contact. The price of Robly is what initially made it stand out to us, but upon using it, we also fell in love with the simplicity of the editing options and the easy navigation and organization of our many lists of contacts. It was a clear choice of which software to go with in the end - Robly ran by a landslide!

YesMail offers almost all of the "bells and whistles" that the other major ESPs offer, but at a much more reasonable price. IBM and SalesForce, for example, offer great platforms...but they outsource the setup and implementation, and they have a lot of add-ons that drive up the price of their tool. YesMail does the implementation and maintenance themselves, and while they do have their own add-ons, their "out of the box" platform is much more inclusive than the competition's.

Return on Investment
  • Robly has enabled us to become more efficient in communicating with our audience. Because of the small size of our organization, we have a limited number of hours to dedicate to crafting communication with our audience. The ease of use of Robly means that we can spend less time on the mechanics of creating mass emails and more time on the quality of the communication itself.
  • Since we started using Robly, our Opt-outs, Spam and Bounce rates (which were already quite low) have dwindled to practically nothing. Over our last 10 campaigns, we had 6 emails bounce, 1 marked as spam, and 18 opt-outs out of over 30K emails delivered.

  • Increased our send rate from 20K/hour to 200K/hour. Previously with our in-house tool it would take days to send a campaign. Now it takes hours.
  • Increased efficiency of our email marketing team. Having to work less with the data team now for list pulls.
