ProProfs LMS Software vs. WizIQ LMS

It is one amazing tool that you’d love to recommend to anyone. It makes online training easily manageable and secure, which is extremely important for academic counselors like us. In the middle of our busy schedules, if we get a tool that allows us to train people easily, confidently, and in a timely manner, nothing can be more exciting than this.

Mails from WizIQ Online Academy Builder very often land in spam, for our students/corporate trainees. While this may not be something WizIQ Online Academy Builder can do much about, it is a genuine issue since we need to keep resending mails till people manage to retrieve it from their spam folders.

• ProProfs is very bland-looking, rather Web 1.0. They have a very limited-number of templates, and they are not customizable. If the company is making any money, I think they should try to make it as aesthetically pleasing as possible.
• ProProfs quizzes are not responsive to devices. A quiz looks exactly the same on an iPhone as it does on a computer screen. Students live in a world where everything they access online is customized to the device they use, but a ProProfs quiz will have small type on an iPhone, and won't allow a zoom by pinching.
• Uploading images, audio, and video when making a quiz is a time-consuming task. Takes a lot of clicks. And there's no way to see your own library of uploaded stuff, so when you want to use a previously-uploaded image, you can't just find it in your account and attach it, you have to upload the same image every time. It's tedious.
• Other LMSs I've used in the past year, like BookWidgets and iSpring Quiz Maker have a good deal more variety of question types than ProProfs. For example, you can't touch, drag and drop an answer on a blank from a word bank with a ProProfs quiz. Matching-type questions in ProProfs are limited to drop-down menu choices or radio buttons. There's no HTML5 magic at work.
• ProProfs support is not bad (response within a day), but they can't explain frequent glitches that occur. Example: Nearly every time a class takes a quiz, there's ONE student who presses "submit" and their answers don't get submitted; instead, the loading circle just keeps rotating and the student panics, and then the student has to press refresh on their web browser, and --sometimes, but not always-- all their responses are erased and they have to take the quiz again. And there's nothing that a teacher can do. It's dreadful. Tell ProProfs about it, and they dodge the bullet because I wasn't able to give them enough info they required (e.g. what kind of phone?, what kind of OS?, what version?, was the device facing North?, etc).
• ProProfs UI has not changed significantly in the 4 years I've been using them. I get the feeling that they're not trying hard enough.

• Although all are good but WizIQ needs to improve in these fields...It goes offline once in a while which is a headache as it needs to be constantly managed and needs to be kept under observation all the time.
• It is better for less userbase management as its browser platform is not stable for a larger number of participants.
• We need to manage each online department separately.
• Audio sound needs to be more clear.

I need to overcome some of the important limitations which have been pending for more than 6 months indicating inability of the vendor or lack of clarity among the development team about what we want and how it can be done easily on their platform and MySQL at virtually no cost without ending up in a feature modification custom development and cost. Teaching and learning with respect to an Indian scenario is different and needs to be adapted to the local needs and realities.

I have understood and used most of it by now after 6-7 months of exploration and use. Though there are small glitches that could be easily resolved by WizIQ, I feel comfortable to handle the product by now. However, clients find it a challenge to explore and do not wish to spend time to learn

There are many tools out there but what is unique about ProProfs is it involves minimal learning curve. That’s one of the things we look for when adopting an application. This is significant considering the fact the tool comes with a large set of features and mastering them could have taken a huge amount of time. Fortunately, it is not so with ProProfs.

Very responsive and accommodating during the sales period, then totally unhelpful, rude and dismissive when you are unhappy with the product. Now ignoring my messages.

It was a product presentation and not a live work through kind of training. I had to remember the presentation from remote and then go about the tool/ builder. It was difficult to handle and I had a lot of doubts and clarifications to address in my initial rounds of launching my courses.

I have developed my own expertise and that is for sale to my clients as a part of my consulting services. I have much to share for assignment and assessment models, course design aspects and mentoring aspects as this is a remote self paced service. If the courses are live and managed still there needs to be mentoring and support to help the learner.

ProProfs is a good choice for teachers who want something that's a step-up from Moodle, but it doesn't dazzle the student like HTML5-based quizzes do. It's a reasonably-priced, overall reliable LMS.

I selected WizIQ because I used them when I subscribed for org.wiziq for nearly 10 years. It was firstly trusting in their technical support system in place and their new plug-in. Other products that are available for free or a nominal amount, e.g. Zoom and Google Meet are way better in their performance and features in my opinion.

Seems pretty good to me as of now. Of course there are usage slabs and commercials to handle before scaling up.

• The training being measurable, we can easily identify knowledge gaps and bridge them then and there.
• We can reuse the same training materials for similar programs in the future with slight modifications.

• By using the WizIQ our team has launched more than 130 courses for internal staff capacity building.
• We also monitor which learner is doing well in the overall assigned courses.
• Created a list of courses which help everyone who is new to the organization.
