ALK Technologies, acquired by Trimble, developed PC*Miler, a transportation management and route planning application for trucking entities needing geomapping and GIS information. The product is now offered under the Trimble MAPS brand.
Although we are a small carrier (20 trucks with two people who dispatch during the same hours), Prophesy would be even more powerful with a slightly larger company that has multiple dispatchers that need to share information without being physically together. Multiple-office locations or companies that have employees working remotely would do well with Prophesy.

The technical support individual we normally work with is professional, proficient, effective, responsive, and understandable which are all unusual traits with techincal support individuals.

The two most important features for us when deciding which provider to use were integration with third-party software and ease of scheduling drivers and matching with loads. Prophesy, for the money, excelled in both areas over the other systems we reviewed, some of which are not listed. The professionalism of the sales rep also set a tenor for the company he represents
