Paycor's pricing for small, mid, and enterprise companies varies based on product bundle and company size. Because Paycor HR software is built to help businesses scale and grow, plans are based on the mix of HR products needed, and company size. Payroll is at the core of Paycor's offering, and their products are sold as a part of their payroll and HR platform.
All platforms provide similar services in our world. Some are just a bit better than others and offer different spins on things or nuances that make it just that much better for the end user. Paycor is that added nuance factor.
Paycor is user friendly and includes reimbursement requests as part of the same platform to integrate with payroll. Paycor however, in my experience, is not as flexible as originally proclaimed. Just like most others evaluated, there is a lack of customization within the …
I absolutely love the staff at UKG. They are so attentive and we are not even their customers. I feel like I get quicker feedback and support from them than I do from Paycor, whom we are a paying customer.
Paycor has more features than OnPay even tho OP worked well for a small company. Heartland was simplistic but wasn't scalable enough to offer all the other features that go with a Payroll or HR system.
Hands down Paycor is a solid choice for ADP because of the look & feel which helps our company stand out with our employees. Compared to UltiPro I think they need to copy a few features such as allowing for custom system alerts & allowing for system customization as a whole.
It was much cheaper than all the other products we vetted and came with more features. We had multiple demos with all companies and the user interface and experience with Paycor always kept calling us to come back. I'm very happy we went with our decision to move forward with …
We selected Paycor in hopes to be able to track attendance points, manage time off requests better. Paycor is just as unhelpful as UltiPro.

From a cost perspective, Paycor competes well with Paylocity and with ADP but UltiPro is far more expensive. In terms of providing a sense of peace and confidence, Paycor ranks above ADP in my mind but below the others.
UltiPro probably had more features than Paycor, but they were expensive and we did not need or use all the functions it offered. We also did not get very good support, I think due to the size of our company. Ceridian was also very expensive and when we started using it we had …
Reporting within UKG is much more robust that ADP, however Paycor did have good reporting. The suite of products offered by UKG is highly better than both.
When it comes to service and support, there is no comparison between UKG, Ceridian, ADP, Workday or other HCM vendors out there. The support that we have received over the previous three years has been the best I've ever experienced in my 15+ years of working in human resources …
I think ADP is a lot easier to use and function within. While the GL maping is seperate done at employee level which is more time consuming. In my experience, the customer support seems better than UKG Pro. So far ADP points you to community support and training videos but …
UKG Pro has the quick turn around on reports. Other [companies] would process the reports and send or email back for review. UKG to select and print [in real] time.
I didn't select UKG Pro at this company. That decision was made prior to my joining. However, I have had the opportunity to evaluate UKG Pro next to ADP Workforce Now, and I opted to go with ADP Workforce Now. The reasons for that decision boiled down to the level of control …
We decided on UKG vs the companies listed above due to their commitment to customer service, having a focus on being a great place to work for their associates, and product offerings.
UKG Pro is competitive in its pricing models but more transparent than some other products we have used. They are consistently ranked as one of the top employers in their industry and this comes across in all dealings with their employees from contract negotiations, to …
We felt that the service was going to be a huge improvement from what we were dealing with prior. The capability of the system and the things that we can customize and track was definitely more than what we saw with the other systems we were looking at and currently used. The …
UP was by far a better choice. It was easy to use, looks clean, customization and had the functionality that we really needed and things that are so nice to have. We loved the report and how much it would do, the ease of payroll, and the many other areas that we have …
In my experience, Paycor is well suited for organizations such as my own where the hiring process and fairly straightforward. A company that values ease of use, consistency, and organization will have great results with Paycor Recruiting. The system is also especially helpful when a company like mine must frequently recruit for the same exact role over and over again. That is where the customizable templates really come into play! On the other hand, a company that has a more specialized or complex recruiting process may struggle with using the platform. If more advanced integrations or data analytics are required then they would likely need a platform that is more robust in those areas.
I would say, well, I don't want to focus on less appropriate. I want to be well suited. I really feel like if the transparency with our count rep and then just diving in onto how to problem solve and how to troubleshoot, I think that's most important with that.
Onboarding works very well for us with a lot of Self-Service for employees it gives us time back and ensures data accuracy is in the employees control.
Recruiting works well because it links to specific jobs and automatically posts jobs when an employee is separated from service.
Tax filings work fairly well for us and have always been accurate.
UKG has an amazing support team to reach out to if assistance is needed
All add-ons of UKG Pro integrate seamlessly making it a powerful software program
UKG Pro is very configurable to meet the specific needs of companies
It is easy to use and navigate
The mobile app is loved by all employees and provides on-demand access
The Ultimate Community is amazing!! On-demand information on all products and how they are used. Connect with other companies that use UKG Pro and learn from each other.
The Learning Centre is also amazing!! Learning right at your fingertips anytime, anywhere.
Administrative/C-Suite level of canned reports and dashboards
Displaying company reminders or documents to sign that are urgent in a way that doesn’t allow an employee to clock out until they have completed the task.
Onboarding and recruiting need an environment that is more stable and dependable.
Core Benefits could be enhanced to allow OE and LE events via the mobile app.
Service and support need to be increased; days and weeks now, when we first went live, it was minutes and hours.
Adapting all version of time management into one or two versions, at no cost to the customer would allow the resources from UTA, UTM and WFM Classic to be directed to future enhancements and would allow support services to be increased for the 2 remaining platforms.
Price point is the biggest driving factor. Paycor has made some strides in the customer service area and we've seen enough improvements that renewing our contract has become more a reality than a pipe dream. The system functions well and our employees are familiar with how it works, so to make a change would be a huge lift for our team
We have been a customer since 2015, we have gone to market and find that UKG Pro product is both user friendly for administrators as well as the employee. The qualify of support and service of UKG team is valued and we trust the product.
Glitches. So many glitches. The customer service number provides basic troubleshooting, which doesn’t help; some issues take weeks to resolve, with no apparent reason why they occur. The system does not work on Safari. We have dealt with Payroll not working, which has caused a manual payroll to be run. Paycor representatives do not provide any assistance.
It gets the job done, but not with a few deep sighs. Once you know where stuff lives, it's manageable, but the first learning curve is steep, some menus feel buried. However, it's consistent, reliable and doesn't crash on me, which counts for a lot. With a little UI glow up it could push into a 9 zone.
I feel like Paycor is always up and running! If they are planning downtime, they communicate it clearly. Every once in a while, I get something that says the system isn't working but it is usually back up within the hour. I typically find by the time that the employees complain about it, that it is resolved within the system.
For the most part UltiPro has been reliable, but it could definitely be better. There have been several notable server issues where we were unable to access the product or unable to utilize some of the features. Customer support is usually quick to respond to questions about these issues, but they do not proactively reach out to customers whose environments have been effected by outages
For the most part, everything moves super fast. There are a few sections (Expense Management) that sometimes take a bit to load correctly. Or if they are interesting, it takes a minute to talk to each other! But reports are quickly downloaded and available! Even data heavy reports run fairly fast!
Normally UKG Pro loads quickly. We had been having major issues with reports running in a timely manner but recently they broke out our virtual server to another instance where is wasn't sharing resources and that seems to have helped reporting run more efficiently.
I feel like support will transfer you back and forth between departments and put you on hold forever. I believe it is very difficult to see the status of an open ticket. During my experience, it feels like the client has to push all communication and request updates from support regularly.
The quality of UKG Support is related directly to the UKG rep. who handles the issue. In some cases you get someone who really is good at supporting the product and others may not have as much experience and it shows
I've been to a few in-person (hands on) training sessions and it is very similar to the online classes. You have the same reference material to look back on after the training. So regardless of in person training or online you really get the same thing.
The online trainings are super helpful. They have user guides that you can read through, interactive training that will walk you through it as well as plain web based ones. I've actually never had an in-person training but all of the information you need can be found online. They also will do individual support training if you are struggling with a certain area.
Most of the online training was very generic (to be expected) but we had specific requirements for configuration that could have been better addressed with more individual sessions earlier on from our project team. However, we did finally begin booking training sessions with our implementation team which were recorded, and so provided additional information for how to correctly configure and test the system.
Implementation of any new software is going to be challenging, especially if you are maintaining an existing program concurrently. When it is time for dual-processing (both old and new software) prior to going live, be prepared to be stressed. But trust the process and it will be over soon.
Make sure you have all of your tax account information with all the states you are registered in available and that you are knowledgeable about the filing status, frequency, etc. We had some unique challenges with our state unemployment tax set up that I was not aware of and needed to be addressed prior to going live. Working with the state unemployment office can be a challenge.
They seemed similar but Paycor was cheaper at the time. However, Paycor has so many fees they tack onto every invoice that may not be the case anymore. The support services supposedly were better at ADP but that was an unknown
We used ADP WFN prior to switching to UKG. We interviewed three different payroll companies to see what our options were. UKG stood out and aligned with our company values. The sales team was very helpful and asked questions about what we were currently doing and how they could assist with simplifying things. I personally had a side meeting with them to see if there were options for a process that we manually process and if UKG could actually eliminate the process. We came to the conclusion that we weren't able to get it 100%, but we could pull 80% of what we needed from UKG, and then we would only need to manipulate 20% of the information. It was also determined from that meeting that we wouldn't need to pay extra to have a special report built. The customer service is what we were sold on. The other companies that we looked at didn't give us the confidence that their customer service would be any better than what we previously had.
I gave it a 10 because we only use it across one organization. However, it has allowed us to break it into multiple departments and layers of management. It is also easy for us to utilize across different locations but still under one master company. They have always provided us support when we decide to change something on an organizational level
Number wise, this takes field employees LESS time to execute their process THUS saving money in the field.
This takes the office staff MORE time to process what the field is doing and costing MORE money on an executive level as opposed to an hourly or field level.
The ROI was not considered while joining as the amount of employees involved necessitated a change in the previous system.
Personally as a veteran user of UKG Pro, in past employers I have seen many amazing increases in employee engagement and ROI.
With QuVa, we are still very new to the UKG Pro platform and are just now beginning to get out of the implementation phase where we can start measuring the change. I will be looking for changes in Overtime spending to reduce as a result of more informative and actionable dashboards for managers to monitor overtime and timeclock abuses in real time. I am also expecting employees to engage more with new features being pushed out to the mobile app.
