Netskope CASB vs. Skyhigh Cloud Access Security Broker

The Netskope CASB solution is well-suited for any company due to the proliferation of SaaS applications. With the agent being installed on endpoints, the product is well suited for remote work environments where a managed corporate network may not be available. The agent allows visibility and controls to be applied to any networks the devices connect to.

Skyhigh is best suited for notifying us of the bad services which are being run in the organization. It really reduces the time it takes for in-depth analysis of proxy logs. It is also helpful for notifying us of any abnormal activities performed by the users in the cloud apps. For example, if a user has left the company and then there was a huge amount of files downloaded from his drive, we may not have known. Here, Skyhigh helps by notifying us of anomaly-like data (high amounts of download and upload activities performed). This is one of the best scenarios I can say, where we see what actually is happening in the cloud drives for the organization. It also helps by notifying if there is any service or activity performed against any sort of compliance with its own mechanisms.

• Public IP for user can be from different country then it came from
• Sometimes you can't get anywhere with Netscope ON
• Location is the key for speed so users complain for speed of 'internet'
• Some location blocks Netscope IP ranges

• UI side is not that great.
• Hard to detect every attack or event.
• Not work in real time means there is a latency in detection.

Skyhigh is a leading CASB helps in identifying the bad services and protecting user data with a detokenization feature and also with the anomalies triggering alarms to customers for any suspicious activities. It provides users by providing blocking script to block service on the proxy or firewall and also shows the abilities to the user to balance the weight of risk service.

Ease of deployment and strong security solution.

Wide knowledge base and learning tutorials available for customer as well as partners.

Multiple use case be it only governing, data security or protection against threat can be catered and customized depending on objective organization wants to achieve. Talented pool of TAC team to reach out and resolve the concerns.

There have been some struggles with their infrastructure keeping pace with demand and load. Support can only do so much and has to defer to known problems being escalated.

I find that Netskope CASB provides a larger catalog of SaaS applications and provides additional security controls for each app, allowing granularity to what actions end users can perform on the sites. This goes beyond simple block download/block upload, making it highly effective at enforcing the actions outlined in corporate policies.

We felt like when we looked at at Netskope, Skyhigh had the most complete vision. They also have custom apps which I am not aware of other services being able to do
