NETLAB+ vs. Synergy Education Platform

NETLAB+ is an excellent, versatile solution for facilitating IT training in a variety of disciplines, including networking, virtualization, storage, and cybersecurity.

Very slow, you literally have to click save for every transaction or it is lost. It should have an autosave feature. It should have automatic commands: E for excused or a one-click solution for excusing student work

• The inability to save progress! :-) As we go through the labs, time can be a very stressful aspect if I don't allow for enough in the beginning or underestimated the time it would take to complete.

• to make a student assignment excused you have to open 2 different screens and then make 2 clicks and if you do not save, everything you have done is lost
• memory needs to be improved so windows move faster
• a click for excusing assignments should be added instead of 3 steps to get to a new screen to only click one button that says excused. If you are excusing 3 assignments this can take over 5 minutes per student.

I was not part of the decision & implementation process. But NETLAB as far as our other programs is at the top, because it is very easy to use, and I have very few reliability issues. I don't have crashing machines, and the detailed labs make it easy to follow.

Synergy is able to seamlessly integrate multiple functionalities, eliminating the need for use of other platforms, such as Time Clock and School Messenger.

• I don't have any decision making authority, or implementation, I am the regular user. So beside the positive impact to my learning, I am not sure. But as for the learning objectives, NetLab has such a huge library of labs, and extra learning that we can take advantage of.
