Movable Ink vs. Outgrow

Movable Ink is great for broad sales in a company with locations all over. Much more difficult when you sell a very specific product that isn't necessarily always needed by consumers.

Outgrow is a better choice compared to its competitors if you don't want to end up promoting their product with your quizzes and calculators. I appreciate that they respect my ability to recommend their platform to peers rather than end-users. That said, Outgrow is a powerful suite of creative tools, and it's likely not a good choice for anyone who's planning to make just one quiz or calculator and then move on.

• Personalization--Everyone likes to see their name in lights. Movable Ink allows you to pull in content such as their name, locations that are closest to them, and content they're actually interested in.
• Unique Features--Movable Ink provides a variety of apps that can plugged into emails to make the experience more unique and exciting, such as countdown timers, add to calendar features for events, maps, and social feeds.
• Tracking--Adding snippets of code to emails allow you to track data, such as opens, impressions, and clickthroughs. You can also track how individuals interact with specific pieces of the email.
• User Friendly--Easy to build within apps for those who aren't graphic designers.

• It's a sort of "pick your own adventure" which appeals to a lot of people.
• Outgrow has a number of different ways you can formulate the quiz, so there are different options to fit various styles you want to present to people.

• I think they could improve with how to provide strategic guidance to customers on applications and use cases. A lot of recommendations aren't applicable to new business models/scenarios
• Their transition to onsite/landing page use cases was somewhat effective but we ran into some hiccups with applying the technology onsite

It is a no code platform that makes content creation very easy with pre-built templates and strong lead generation tools. However, customisation options are limited , complex logic can be tricky and better content organisation is needed for a large scale use. Overall, it's user friendly but needs improvement in scalability and flexibility.

Support is very responsive and is quick to respond to questions and problems. Outgrow sometimes changes their pricing and plan structures and add/remove options without properly relaying the info to customers. They could do a better job with communications and being upfront with the pricing plans people sign up for.

Movable Ink is the better product by far. They offer more solutions across multiple channels and their platform is easier to use and better organized.

Limited functionalities, and limited design options. I really only want to implement a solution if it truly fits with the rest of my website and the level of quality of the rest of my products. When looking at the features and usability of Convertcalculator I felt that it did not perform as well as Outgrow. Another reason was the number of resources in their Help Center. I did not start a chat with them, so I can't comment on their customer service. I feel like there is no real competition out there, or I've been searching in the wrong places.

• Over a 9 month period we conducted an analysis and saw a 4.6 return on ad spend with using Movable Ink in various email marketing campaigns.
• Using their web crop feature, we also saw time savings with managing products showcased in email that were available on our website.
