If you have a successful webstore with high traffic it could make sense to think about in expanding the business to other vendors by creating a marketplace (just like amazon). You'll charge a commission on the products sold in your website by other vendors, and that way you'll have a wide range of products to offer to your users. To do this, Mirakl is the software to use.

We started using Shopify and we are growing its usefulness in our business. I am in the process of helping our reps we gave access and provided training to create all the products they need. We still have most of the new products to be setup.
