Marqeta vs. SAP Card Management

Great platform for FinTechs that want to build a global business in one place. Lots of control available to run a card program. If you want to do less work (just get cards for your customers with less customization and not worry about details) there are better options.

It is an incredible tool for companies with frequent travel or frequent expenses with corporate cards, companies that are seeking automation of processes, who want technology over a simple and manual expense reconciliation done in excel. Particularly helpful in markets where country tax system and needs are very strict, and invoice and receipt records are required

• Modify approval flow can be hard
• Speed between card company and the app. Bank app is immediate, it can take up to a few days to have expenses reflected in SAP Card Management apps

The support team has been excellent and very responsive. Whenever we had issues and reached out, we were able to resolve most problems within 24 hours. I think it really helps that they are still a new-ish startup and are very hands-on with their business and with support.

We evaluated a couple back in 2018 (GPS and Galileo), but I'm not sure that is relevant anymore.

SAP Card Management stacks up against the rest because of it's flexibility in use. We selected SAP Card Management because it is user friendly and helps management track spending and reports on areas where savings can be found. I recommend any SAP product they are extremely helpful and a great Return on Investment.

• Our entire card payments business runs on Marqeta and Marqeta's cost is a fraction of the revenue provided.
• Costs very reasonable at scale.

• Time reduction of reconciliation of expenses vs. manual process in excel
• Avoids loosing records of expenses and receipts
• Manager reports can help identify high spenders or late reporters (impacting in late fees)
