Lattice is very well versed in all things with performance and goals, but it is a separate program from the rest I work in; it would be nice to be able to integrate it into other programs I work out of more frequently. I do enjoy being able to have a program where I can track my goals and job growth.

Perdoo seems to be a good fit for us. We're about 60 employees, we'll see how well it scales with us but I don't see why it wouldn't. Perdoo is a good tool especially for orgs that haven't done OKRs or goal setting, and need solid structure and support (like the webinar) to get people engaged. A tool only works if people use it!

Pros
  • Giving me up to date information and tasks that enable me to complete necessary training experiences.
  • Giving me a user friendly interface/platform that allows me to communicate with coworkers, supervisor, etc.
  • It notifies me when I have things to do, and when I have completed necessary tasks.
  • It gives me a bank of completed tasks so that I can chronologically follow my progress over time as I have been with my organization.

  • OKR roadmap: I like how clearly this lays out the connections between the different levels of OKRs (team, company, long term etc)
  • OKR Webinar: they have a great OKR 101 type webinar that we made all our leaders go through, even those who had worked with OKRs before, to ensure that we were all on the same page. Perdoo is very intentional and thoughtful about the terms they use.
  • Initiatives: I really like that Perdoo goes down to the initial level, not just OKR. Initiatives are the projects/tasks that roll up under each KR to actually get to the result.
  • slack updates: I like seeing the notifications come through when colleagues update something in Perdoo. fun to see progress!

Cons
  • it is not intuitive how to find a past review you wrote for someone that doesn't directly report to you
  • Lattice app (for phone) is very limited in scope and doesn't have face ID
  • sales team can be misleading; need to really double check and push on important issues

  • The existing mobile apps are not very usable
  • Sometimes new features are added while the old features have technical issues
  • Speed of support could be better

It is an expensive platform and other platforms are coming to market with similar features at a fraction of the price.

Support Rating
Lattice Support is not that good. We have had to have calls with them in the past and their product team did not have a lot of knowledge about their product. I believe they are able to provide a much better level of service and that would increase my likelihood to work with them again.

Alternatives Considered
These other platforms are great at their own thing- like payroll for the most part, but some don't have native performance tools at all (ADP), and some are just so shallow and designed to just check the must-have boxes for orgs primarily focused on Payroll. Gusto and TriNet/Zenefits try to be all-in-one solutions, but their foundations are payroll and HRIS, respectively, so their performance and engagement tools are either missing or severely lacking

Perdoo was much more focused on the core OKR process than Weekdone, and our users vastly preferred it during trial tests. Google Sheets is flexible enough to support almost any workflow, which is its biggest strength, but also its biggest weakness - we wanted a tool that is a bit more rigid in enforcing a particular process.

Return on Investment
  • a different method to reaching the whole company that isn't through email or slack, not cluttering peoples inbox but having a dedicated space for praises and goal planning
  • where company data about personnel is stored and a way to engage with them and set up cadences for meeting and feedback, giving us a one stop shop instead of multiple avenues
  • a forum where we do all company surveys. from engagement surveys to mid-year reviews. makes this process streamlined and less fussy and confusing
