If your business has more than 50 users, don't use KANA Express. User management and setup is not intuitive, and back-end email management takes a large amount of time. If your business emails more than one recipient and expects replies from more than one recipient, don't use KANA Express. The system is built for one-question-in, one-answer-out. Anything more than that requires extra customization or is impossible, according to their development team. If managing your inbound email either internally or externally is critical to your operations, don't use KANA Express. Downtime is more frequent than is acceptable, and their Netherlands advanced support team's hours make down-time in the western hemisphere a lot longer than it needs to be.

There are several new enhancements and features being added to the product on a regular basis, whether its new reporting tools, survey question types or something else, the products are always improving. They are also proactive when it comes to communicating issues, platform changes, downtimes (rare) which I have not seen from other vendors too often. Aside from the product which just works, the support team has to be one of their best assets in my opinion. Their support team know the product inside and out and can provide some creative solutions to achieve your goals. They are always available and offer 24x7 services for free which in many other companies is only available as an add-on cost for premium support.

  • This is one of the few survey programs that let's you do almost anything you can imagine - complex logic, showcasing concept designs/videos, cluster analysis are a few of the uses we got out of this program.
  • Comprehensive data analysis and reporting options allowed us to fill just about any client request.
  • Good tech support - never had an issue there.

Cons
  • KANA Express is NOT set up for business models where email is conversational and involves multiple recipients and responses. If your business model is one-question-in, one-answer-out, then KANA Express will probably work for you.
  • Since signing on with them, KANA Express' support team has been severely lacking in expertise and acceptable turnaround times, especially when the platform encounters a system-wide issue to leads to downtime. Our assigned sales contacts jumped ship with the company almost immediately after we went live, which is never a good sign.
  • Admin panel and functions are very antiquated and not user-friendly at all. Email management through the admin tool lacks crucial insight that prevents admin users from being able to easily route and manage emails. Our organization had to write our own KANA user guides that KANA Express then took and started using themselves and for other clients.
  • The KANA Express platform does not have proper spam or auto-reply management tools. Admin users must manually turn off the KANA Express auto-response emails in order to prevent email loops with other parties' auto-responses.
  • Analytics options are lacking. Admin users must run at least three separate reports in order to gather appropriate insight as to user activities and metrics.
  • Email queue/user set up is not intuitive. If adding a new queue or user, all users must be manually adjusted to include that new queue. There is no mass-edit tool for KANA Express users.

  • The ability to repeat the same data export with the options you selected the first time would be good. There are a lot of options available for data exports and it can be challenging to remember exactly which options you picked should you want to put out the same options as a previous export.
  • Continue to improve functionality and speed. You are already the leader in my book. Don't fall behind. :)
  • Create more "Ready to use" questions like the Carousel for grid questions.

From my point of view Confirmit has been a key tool in our organization. Without it we can't deliver what we do at this moment. Confirmit has proved that is a reliable, stable and easy to use tool. The few issues we found (as far as I know) were sent to Confirmit support team and fix them. Patching the product has been done faster and without large downtime of the product

Confirmit is a very technical tool, it takes time for someone to get used to the interface, even when it could definitely be more intuitive or user friendly, this is part of Confirmit's strenghts that makes it one of the most robust data collection technologies out there.

The support team is responsive and I can tell that they are actually trying to help get to the heart of the issues before making us try every possible solution available. They ask the right questions and test things before coming back to us with proposals. I like the support team at Confirmit.

While I was not responsible for the decision to utilize Confirmit I am certainly glad to be using it instead of Dimensions. The interface, coding language, and flexibility of Confirmit are all superior to Dimensions in my opinion. I only programmed average complexity surveys in Dimensions so it is possible that there is some feature or flexibility that I did not get to experience but from my use, Confirmit definitely comes out on top.

  • KANA Express was originally presented as an excellent alternative to Fastraq, an email management system that was in EOL during the time we were shopping for alternatives. Unfortunately, our originally planned ROI was not achieved due to lost functionality and broken sales promises, leaving us with an email management system that's built more on workarounds than out-of-the-box solutions, requiring considerable time for admin activities that could be avoided by a better-designed system.

  • Confirmit has shown a great employee efficiency, the users can work by themselves on it faster than expected.
  • It provides a lot of services for the different areas of the company, so we don't have to spend additional money of many different platforms.
