It works great for us in the education space and delivering our curriculum to our clients. It's nice to have some of the extra access features and to have the community feature, so that works great for us. At the same time, Kajabi lacks some of the specificity we need, and I don't believe it is technically geared directly to the education space, so we will likely switch providers in the next couple of years to something that is more robust and relevant to our business model.

Shailja Rohillah, of Omnify, went above and beyond to respond quickly and did everything she could to accommodate my needs. Even when the exact thing I wanted, was not an option, Shailija not only found a work around but put the time in herself to address my need.

Pros
  • With a featured button as opposed to just a hyperlink, it is incredibly simple to link to a page within an email.
  • The marketing strategy's functionality and the ability to customize emails allow me to communicate with every client.
  • Course creator to create digital products from your content.

  • Customer support. Every time I had a question I got prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable help.
  • Ease of set-up. I had no prior experience in the tool and set up our schedule and our users in 1 evening.
  • Pleasant user interface. It was easy to read, easy to customize (even in the "cheap" version), and overall very professional.
  • Rapid development cycles. We seemed to get new and exciting functionality every 1-2 weeks.

Cons
  • They've improved leaps and bounds, but their CRM is still subpar
  • They have great uptime, but it could be better
  • Affordability - I went in hoping to use their CRM feature and cut costs, but their CRM is lacking
  • They offer a shopping cart, but in terms of being able to customize and payment option, they have a ways to go.

  • We would love to have more specific options for restricting the number of times a client can book a reservation per week.
  • It would be very beneficial for admins to be able to book clients in advance for classes that are not available to the mass clientele yet.
  • We would like to be able to edit client's email addresses. Several of our members have typos in the emails provided, so they aren't receiving confirmation emails and they can't log in, so they have to make new accounts.

We are committed to it and once we get "really good" at using it, I think it is a excellent platform and links well to Hubspot. At present, we are still just barely scratching the surface with our use of its features

Usability
The back-end system can be used efficiently and has flexibility. It doesn't have a lot of unnecessary functions or un user-friendly features. We have had no issues using the system and would continue to use it with the current functions and features. I would rate it as user-friendly yet flexible

I'd give it a 10 except it didn't always render well on mobile devices, which caused some frustration for users. Otherwise it was easy to use, easy to manage, easy to make it look like "our" site, and very pleasant.

Support Rating
The Kajabi Support people are helpful, fast and knowledgeable. I usually call in a panic - because I have lost something, messed something or am on a deadline. Sometimes we speak, or we do a chat. Always my angst is eliminated. I often thank the person for being "so patient" with me. LOL

Omnify's customer service has been pretty much always on point. Their chat feature is a great way to keep track of past communications and follow up on recurrent issues, and their response time is most of the times very quick.

Implementation Rating
These platforms are big complex pieces of software. Mor recently - Kajabi provides a done for you example which you can borrow and customise - but those were not available when we started.

Alternatives Considered
Kajabi is more adjusted for learning needs. While Tilda and Wix can help to create very customizable designs for landing pages and great checkout experiences, Kajabi is more convenient for creating learning sequences. The best way is to use all these platforms together, so they can support the optional customer journey from landing page to learning on the course.

I looked at software based systems for access control, etc. none of them could provide all of the features and usability for both the end user and host that Omnify could. Other, similar web/cloud based services are not as flexible or customizable. Omnify knows that everyone's business isn't the same and has a skilled team of customer care folks ready to do whatever is needed to help you succeed.

Return on Investment
  • Saved around $100 a month thanks to combining several online platforms into one
  • Saved dozens of hours not having to upload videos and images thanks to the Google Drive integration and URL Import
  • Building pages takes a little longer than other page builders due to how many clicks it takes to exit and enter editing settings.

  • Pricing point at the beginning allowed for growth.
  • Margins started shrinking as pricing went up though.
  • Ability for online booking & payments allows to save on front desk staff.
