Indeed is one of my top picks from these competitors because of the quality of candidates we find from Indeed. The resumes are more detailed, the response rate is higher, and there's a larger candidate pool for many positions we look for. I like that Indeed provides a resume …

Indeed Resume is extremely well suited for my Pharmacy Technician positions. I receive a high number of applicants and many of them are qualified for my positions. All of the contact information is provided for me to reach out to the applicant to begin the interview process. Many of these interviews have resulted in hires.

LinkedIn Recruiter is better suited in terms of the filters it provides to search for a pool of candidates. Features like past and current companies, past universities, or years of experience, AI Search, and AI message drafting do wonders in terms of recruitment. But some more filters can be added, which will help further in recruitment. For example, Boolean search in job titles, targeting specific keywords in recent experience, etc.

    Pros
    Indeed
    • It uses boolean search functionality, which allows me to target specific candidates
    • I like that it shows me how long it's been since someone has been active on Indeed
    • The messaging functionality to reach out to candidates and have them respond back to you is very user-friendly

    • The scheduler is my most favorite part of Recruiter. Super easy and organized to use.
    • It also can integrate with my applicant tracking system when and if I hire from LinkedIn Recruiter.
    • The fact that you can see an applicants full profile gives more information than just a resume when selecting candidates to interview.

    Cons
    Indeed
    • I find it does not always recommend the best resumes to invite to the job we are recruiting for, based off the experience needed or job titles in the candidates resume
    • I don't like how invites don't roll over into a new month if you don't use all of them in a said period of time.

    • For some reason, whenever I click "View in Recruiter" it takes me to the project summary screen instead of that candidate's profile in Recruiter
    • It would be nice if candidates got automatically moved to the appropriate stage when an action is taken (ie "Contacted" after sending them a message)

We have implemented this tool across several management divisions and locations as of today, so I don't anticipate us canceling our subscription. With the upcoming pricing changes, we are looking at ways that we can stricken the user of the software, but we have seen such benefits from it that we simply cannot go without it as of today.

It is very easy to view, user friendly, and a great feature for quick selections. I haven't had any problems viewing or sending out invites when I need to. It can be a little hard to find at times. It seems to be buried to where you have to search for it.

This tool allows you to do so much for such an affordable rate. If you want to scoop up your competition's talent, you can filter searches for resumes for people who have or currently work at their business. You can also you Bollinger searches for individuals who have experience with a specific type or word. And my favorite, you can set up search criteria that alert you of any new resumes with specific criteria so you are first to reach out. Highly Recommend.

Indeed works better for the entry-level roles we are searching for, we find LinkedIn is for higher-level leadership roles. However, Indeed does have a wider variety in general, of all types of roles and skillsets. I've found more luck finding entry-level job seekers on Indeed and more luck finding HR professionals on Linkedin.

SeekOut has a diversity filter, which I like. They also list some candidates that are not on LinkedIn, but ultimately SeekOut routes me to LinkedIn. So technically SeekOut allows me to screen for filters that LinkedIn does not, but I actually end up using LinkedIn Recruiter to manage and communicate with the candidates.

    Return on Investment
    Indeed
    • Some managers reported decreased time spent searching for applicants.
    • This is another site to check for applications.
    • If you want to make it work for you, it can: decrease time to hire, increase candidate responsiveness, but you are missing out on a large section of applicants, thus decreasing your applicant quantity and quality.
