With all of the supplies and outreach we do with clients, Imonggo is really good at tracking that inventory. We can scan it in to have a detailed accounting of where our supplies end up located. We can scan them out to track which department is using supplies and at which quantities. This helps us keep track of our inventory usage rates and therein our connections with clients. This extremely useful in our grant reporting so we can track spending and demonstrate that money is translating to tangible benefits for our clients.

The fact of Wix moving away from their ADI web-building tool in favour of Editor, in my opinion, makes a huge mess of everything. I feel a lot of the ease and automation of designing my website has gone to such an extent that I now "recommend" Wix only for professional developers. Worse is that I have to redesign a big part of my website as items are now linked to each other in a different way than used to be the case. In my opinion, A big ZERO for Wix, who clearly should do their homework again.

Pros
  • Inventory management - It's easy to update inventories and organize items with specific tags.
  • Client information - It's easy to update basic client information into the system and maintain easy access to their records.
  • Visualization - It can visualize inventory quantities and helps provide a graphical representation of which department is consuming which resources.
  • UI - The UI is pretty paired down so it's not cluttered and limits the options to only what is relevant to your given task.

  • User-Friendliness: Wix is a lot easier to navigate than other web-building sites. Oftentimes it's like Wix does the thinking for you instead of just throwing endless options at you and complicating the process.
  • Unique Content: Many services for generating websites, images, videos, etc. are starting to look the same and, for that matter, they're starting to look stale. What Wix offers feels fresher and cleaner.
  • Reliability & Respectfulness: We have yet to incur any issues that have affected our web properties or routine to this point. Furthermore, Wix does not constantly throw new offers or new pricing or new requirements at us. They value you where you are.

Cons
  • Design - While the UI is navigable, the design looks a bit dated.
  • Server issues - Occasionally the web-based client is too slow to process information and can result in a double input of said information. It's not life ending but a bit annoying at times.
  • Custom Tagging - Most of the tags we input to classify inventory have to be entered manually, it would really nice to have those populate automatically.
  • Inventory buttons - They used to have buttons that you could click to change the inventory in a given field, now you just have to enter the number in the field itself. Was much nicer to have the option of both.

  • One place where Wix falls short of other CMS's is with insights and analytics. On other platforms, I can instantly see how many page views I received, what time the pages were viewed, location, etc. But seeing this information on Wix requires a Google Analytics integration that is not automatically included when you make an account. You have to first go to Google Analytics to make an account, then come back to Wix to activate the integration, it's a little time-consuming for a feature that most CMS's come with instantly.

It's something we've used for a while now and we're pleased ultimately with its functionality. This is not to say its perfect, it isn't, but accomplishes a lot of what we need it to do. The fact we've been able to utilize it outside of a traditional retail environment speaks to its versatility and adaptability. For those reasons we'll continue to use until we're presented with a better alternative.

I’m happy with Square space as of now, and right now I don’t also have a team that would be able to review for me whether it’s worth switching again. Wix was great in the beginning of my career, but I needed something different to support the release of my new music. I like the price for Square space more too!

Usability
It's pretty phenomenal for inventory management/POS of functions. Relatively easy to use and incorporate into our process. The lack of customization and categorization from the client/customer tracking side of the software is its big limitations and the only frustration for a usability perspective.

Great customization, but a pain to backtrack. They recently added the ability to set fonts etc as headings, title, body etc, but if you did not begin your build with these presets you are screwed if you ever try to change font/ colors/layout etc.

Reliability and Availability
Yes it's always available. We've never had an outage issue.

I never had an outage issue per say. I would say it was very reliable of a website building platform and as a marketing source there was never any issues connecting it to the server. I don’t recall there being any editing tools or hosting issues. Nothing went down when using it.

Performance
It usually loads quickly and without hesitation. There are the occasional slow moments in connectivity that can present small frustrations, but nothing majorly inhibiting. We haven't integrated it apart from being a standalone application.

Not complex at all. It teaches you how to use their platform in a dynamic way. Each tutorial offers an explanation that can be reviewed later on. The connection speed of a web page has been smooth so far, with no major problems regarding this subject. Overall, Wix can manage 10+ pages with great connection speed.

Support Rating
The few times we've used them, they've been really solid. The only reason they didn't a perfect 10 is that we haven't had a major hiccup by which to judge them.

As stated before I didn’t use the support as I did not have the feature and did not often enough need the help. I was able to figure it out mostly on my own by exploring the site. I’ve found exploring and playing on it told me how to do most things.

Implementation Rating
It's hard to give anything a perfect 10 when it comes to implementation unless it does it all for you. Our biggest complaint was the time it took to set up everything in the software, though to be fair that's almost always going to be the case with inventory management software. The lack of auto-populate fields did slow us down some, but ultimately we got the set up done without egregious headaches, that's a win in my book.

Like I said I was a beginner so it was fun to navigate and teach myself how to implement the features when building and maintaining my site. It was a fairly easy place to host my domain, and creat something simple.

Alternatives Considered
Imonggo makes things simpler given its relatively clean UI and simple options tree that results from each click. Salesforce can do more and use custom tracking more efficiently but is more of a pain to set up and maintain. Xero handles inventory management in a different way than Imonggo and for day to day purposes its easier for our staff to use Immongo. Imonggo lets lower level staff interact with our inventory and we can set up access for them to more akin to its typical POS service, scanning out inventory for clients.

Wix is GREAT for a drag-and-drop website editor, but I prefer Squarespace. Squarespace has a lot more polished drag-and-drop modules. Squarespace feels more like a name-brand editor, as it's frequently discussed by many influencers online and has a high level of brand awareness. Wix is more customizable and can create a more tailored end product than Squarespace. Additionally, it is cheaper, which is another advantage for Wix.

Scalability
It works exactly as we intend the vast majority of the time. There are moments where the software is slow to respond and thus causes duplicate input of information. That may be the fault of our machine/internet connection, but it happens with enough frequency that it can be a small hiccup. Usually any hiccups that it presents can be remedied immediately.

I give this rating to Wix because it's a great content creator. It has a great platform and also offers great customer service. If you encounter any technical issues, with Wix you will find a solution. For premium members or domain holders, this is the same as for Trial members or non-domain holders.

Return on Investment
  • Inventory management - This has been extremely helpful to track what we're using and in what quantities. Makes budgeting a lot easier and more accurate.
  • Client engagement - It's helped us engage and maintain clients, but by the same token has proven limited as it's difficult to separate clients into custom subcategories.
  • Grant reporting - The numbers generated through Imonggo are really helpful for providing numerical feedback to our funders.

  • Affordable - for those on limited to zero budget it is easy to get started and getyour business online. I was able to create a portfolio website that I could direct my clients to in order to view my previous projects.
  • There is no need to pay a website designer (save on costs)- it is easy to get a website up and published on Wix that you save on not needing to pay a professional to do it for your start-up business.
