Oracle Enterprise Data Management has allowed us to share information with other departments, in this way we can unite the marketing department with the sales department and ensure that the projects that are generated attend to the data that each one throws up. It has also allowed us to integrate the data and contributes to collaborative work, this has satisfactorily reduced customer refusals in the face of possible cost increases.

Pros
  • It is very strong to make transformations/data derivations
  • It is very easy to connect to various external data sources. It has an interface (stages) for each connection that simplifies the task
  • It is a stable platform. And that parallelism helps make it fast for loading, if the process is well designed

We researched Alex Solutions in addition to Oracle Metadata Management, and although there were comparable price points, features, and capabilities, we ultimately decided to go with Oracle because we use Oracle for our LMS. The integration was seamless and provided a way to get things up and running quickly. We haven’t had any major issues or concerns that have caused us to question that decision at this time.

  • EDM is a good ROI for when you have multiple applications in Oracle Cloud.
  • EDM is not a good ROI if you have more then 5K unique members as it get very costly.
