In terms of business challenges, it simplifies the job of my engineers and significantly increases the productivity of my teams when they collaborate with IBM teams all over the world. Now that we have completed a proof-of-concept using the services supplied by IBM, we expect it to assist us in managing them more efficiently; thus far, management has been straightforward.

I can recommend the use of this software, the objective points that we had as an organization for months could be met. I am not saying that it is free of problems but it gives peace of mind and confidence that it is backed by a large company in the technology industry.

Cons
  • Request proxying is done by way of DNS name resolution, which is inflexible.
  • Proxy services do not work on wildcard DNS entries.

  • There are certain tools that need training to be able to use them. One of them is SASE which requires reading long documentation and the support of qualified engineers is needed. I think this is difficult and does not allow you to explore all areas of the Nuage environment.
  • There is intermittence in the afternoon hours. I mean by this that in the afternoon hours from 6 to 10 pm the platform does not load in the way it should, filling options are slowed down and the same thing happens in the early morning hours, the support team has not yet determined the exact reason for this.
  • Volume discount could not be negotiated. That in this case a really extensive investment was requested for first-time use of the product.

Alternatives Considered
I have used Salesforce to explore it as an app but I have found them both able to solve my needs and requirements when it comes to security. While I choose IBM Cloud Internet Services for more accessibility, a better price was available with Saleforce. Although that is just my observation.

  • Improving incorrect procedures in this sense allows us to anticipate correcting errors by giving us alerts and avoiding wasting too much time solving specific problems in the future.
  • Meet business objectives in months and it has been surprising. A specific business objective was to improve our facilities to be able to deliver faster service to our customers and achieve higher profit income.
