Great to use if you have a few marketing systems that need to "talk" to each other and keep each other updated. Perfect for small agencies, companies, or freelancers. I wouldn't recommend using PieSync if you have MANY marketing systems that need to be synched. You'd be better off simplifying the resources you use, then putting PieSync in place

The contact enrichment feature adds missing contact info, like emails or phone numbers. It also allows us to confirm that the address information on our CRM matches what Zoom says. I wish more emails were available within the service, but what you can glean from Zoom makes marketing to the correct personas much easier.

Pros
  • PieSync runs continually so there is little to no disruption and people always have access to the latest contact information for our clients and prospects.
  • PieSync runs efficiently in the background so there is little maintenance or attention that it needs, which is great.
  • PieSync does a great job of letting you decide how you want items to sync across platforms so you can customize to how your organization uses a particular software.

  • EverString allows us to build account lists based off in-depth firmographic or technographic data. It's far more accurate than trying to build these lists any other way.
  • EverString is fast. Where it might've previously taken us weeks to build lists of this quality, we now can build them in a matter of minutes (and have them ready to be published in a couple of hours).

Cons
  • Price. It can get expensive if you have to sync a lot of contacts. You are charged on each syn, not on the number of contacts.
  • While most major integrations are available, there are still many popular tools that they do not integrate with so check first.
  • More complex rules and multiple syncs require higher priced plans.

  • Contacts underneath Companies can be outdated by 4+ years (left employer years prior).
  • Customer support is not as engaged as a smaller software company might be. Delays in solving issues.
  • Limits in sharing lists, queries, and tags between users under the same account.

The tool is very "set it and forget it" and reliable!

Would love to keep everstring as part of our tech stack in the future. if we ever have to move from everstring it will be due to budget not the solution itself.

Usability
The interface is very simple and straightforward. No need to further understand. Everything works out of the box. Once set up and everything works. My setup took 5 minutes.

Usability is among the highest I have ever worked within an application of this magnitude. It was a significant recession for us and our sales team along with some of our onboarding folks have been able to use the tool as well. Other are able to benefit as well that are outside of the sales team but I do get as much of their feedback as I do from the sales team.

Every time that I've had a question, PieSync has been very responsive. It is a reliable company with a great team that is devoted to helping their customers. I've been their customer for 2 years and I've never looked back. Support is an important reason why PieSync is my go-to app for this job.

Have a plan on how you're going to evaluate. We had a two-month trial period, but a six-month average lead cycle time, making it impossible to evaluate on a purely new-business ROI basis within the trial. We applied the model to our prior data, which demonstrated how much time and effort was devoted to accounts that weren't going to close

Alternatives Considered
Improved analytics, well easier to read and show to team members, and using it to keep track of sales and the status of those sales. The simple grid tracks were easy to use and see where each client was in the sale pipeline.

I haven't tried stacking it against any competition as I feel no need to. ZoomInfo blows me away like it first did in 2018, and I don't want something different. I hear Clay is good, but I just haven't felt the need to try it out or replace ZoomInfo at all.

Return on Investment
  • PieSync has saved me a lot of time. It is straightforward to learn and use and therefore the initial set up time is not great, but once set up you can more or less forget that it is there working away in the background.
  • My business is small and was already pretty streamlined with a CRM system etc. PieSync is likely to have a much greater ROI for a business that is less streamlined or is more complex to start with.

  • The rate we close prospects run through Zoom products is up 10% on average
  • The time to close a prospect has been reduced by one calendar week (about 5%)
  • The time spent reviewing prospects has shrunk from 1-2 hours a week to 5-10 minutes which is HUGE.
