GTmetrix vs. Kameleoon

GTmetrix is very well suited for small organizations or startups that do not have sufficient technical staff for site optimization. GTmetrix also comes with the free version, which allows users to use their service for free for up to three websites, which is a good option. However, this might not be the best option for a large organization that works in different technical domains and have a good number of technical staff.

There are many platforms to choose from when it comes to experimentation and personalization. We've found Kameleoon to be an excellent choice for those looking for a balance in capabilities (it checks all the boxes), cost-effectiveness, and a helpful customer success team paired with a responsive product team.

• Really complete report of performance issues.
• Get reports from PageSpeed and YSlow at same time.
• Gives a score from each separate tool, also displays loading time, page size and total requests very easily.

• Widget editor (creating a widget without any code)
• Results analysis dashboard (easy to read and understand)
• The consulting team (always available to help and guide us - Thank you [C...] !!)
• Segmentation (it allows us to easily target a specific audience)
• The tool is very intuitive and easy to use

• Deeper knowledge of page elements and their importance
• Knowing which areas will have great impact beyond time of load speeds
• Should drop any elements that do not reach a certain level of impact - to save distraction and get important issues dealt with

• Interface of the graphics editor is quite conceptual. It is fine after a few days but it takes a little while to recognize some icons.
• Their online tutorial could also be easily improved.
• If you want to do major graphical changes on your website, you will have to inject JS and CSS code which requires some technical background but I don’t know if that point can be improved.

Kameleoon offers one of the best UI's I've seen when I've compared it to 4 of the other big competitors in the landscape. They have some improvement areas when it comes to the UX - Which is easily solvable if/when prioritized. There's a little to much "clicking" and "new tabs" in my opinion

I have never had the need to use GTmetrix support. Therefore, there is really no way for me to give a grade here. However, if you are on a paid plan my guess and it is a guess, is that their support is as good as the tool is. There are a lot more features in the paid plans, reporting. monitoring etc. I could see where support could come into play as these features are added to the account

We have a very good relationship with our CSM and with Kameleoon’s technical team. We trust them fully to help us with the set-up of A/B tests and personalizations, analysis of results, and any technical matter that we may encounter. They always do their best to be as responsive as possible, and our communications are always very fluid.

Given we are doing the work to improve in Google to a large degree - the Google product is essential. But GTMetrix may use their info as well as other independent stuff to be a little better. I appreciate the way GTMetrix provides the info - cleaner and clearer and thus quicker to address.

We were looking for a new tool after Google sunset their tool. We tested AB Tasty and Kameleoon. Our dev team was unhappy with the weight of the AB Tasty tag and I found the level of service with Kameleoon much higher.

• It made my sites more stable.
• I can fix my issues easily.
• My site visitors increased with the help of this software.
