Forcepoint Email Security vs. Proofpoint Information Protection

I have been working for years with Forcepoint--they have the ultimate package in terms of integration of DLP and mail security

Best suited for organizations that are dealing with high volumes of protected/personsal or financial information that must be kept secure

• Rule creating very intuitive

• Email encryption - ease of use for both sender and receiver
• Capturing junk mail - easy to review "quarantined" emails each day and reduces junk in inbox
• Notification that email has been delivered secure

• Speed is not the best but its email not instant chat

• Proofpoint is actively adding features and functionalities but this does take time.
• Unable to whitelist domains with wildcards.
• Detection is not always 100% but no vendor can claim that.

The support could be better, but the good thing is rarely having to call them.

While the Cisco Email was a close second, the customization of the Forcepoint Email Security policies and reports is what won us over.

• Even though Forcepoint solution is targeted high in terms of price, the added value it provides to an organization by securing their system in web and mail is tremendous
