Forcepoint Email Security vs. MailGate SC

Forcepoint Email Security is perfect for set and forget. Very little do I need to get in and that's to tailor a policy there are minimal issues I have encountered since using the product.

MailGate is well suited for organizations that have sensitive information with the need to securely transport via email, it is less appropriate for larger organizations as the overhead for administrators becomes more complex

• Ability to alert a variety of statuses to administrators via email
• Shows health status of the appliance to ensure proper functionality

• External storage configuration is complex to set up
• Customer support is average, can be slow depending on the type of issue or request

The support could be better, but the good thing is rarely having to call them.

Since Forcepoint is used widely in our organization, the integration between DLP web and Mail is amazing, and I didn’t find a good reason to split services between vendors if I have all the package in one place

MailGate works well with administrative control and ease of use for setting up TLS connectivity between clients

• Even though Forcepoint solution is targeted high in terms of price, the added value it provides to an organization by securing their system in web and mail is tremendous

• MailGate has allowed the organization to accept more clients with their knowledge of our ability to securely send emails
