Employee Navigator is a benefits-focused HR system from the company of the same name in Maryland.
If you do not currently have a benefits enrollment platform in your payroll system, Ease is a great option. It is simple to enroll employees and give them access so they can elect their benefits. I found this system especially helpful during open enrollment. From an admin side, the system was simple and easy to use and got the job done!
Employee Navigator is well suited to introduce the beginning of an HRIS to the organisation. There are excellent features for management to keep track of employee numbers and assets. Employee Navigator is not so well suited as an employee hub. I think the next step here would be to evolve into a directory service that users can use to look up their coworkers' strengths and other work-related attributes.
User interface is easy on the eyes. People seem to be able to pick it up really easy, it's simple to operate and has a nice clean look.
It's insurance carrier & service vendor "agnostic"...works with every insurance carrier we work with and has numerous preferred vendor partnership with some of the other services our clients want access through all from EaseCentral.
Great support team when questions arise. Pretty self explanatory.
So far, we have had very little reason to call in to Employee Navigator support. Our team who works with them have found it easy and simple to work with them when needed. They aren't able to work on much or divulge how the system works internally, nor what's on the roadmap, but it is still helpful to have timely confirmation.
[Employee Navigator] knocks them out of the park and honestly isn't even in the same category as far as what it offers. In comparison Navigator is Windows 10 and Beacon is still on a dot matrix system.
Very positive impact on the employees -- open enrollment is a breeze! No more paper, and the dependent information is already there, they just have to make updates.
From the employer side, you can print off the changes and key them into payroll -- everything is in one place, and so easy to use.
The CFO is happy with the no cost, and less downtime with people asking about benefits.
