If your organization manages a lot of marketing accounts for clients. DialogTech will definitely help automate communications to improve customer experience and marketing performance. This will [be] a very important value added to your service and make you stand out from the competition. Additionally, clients usually find call tracking and reporting very helpful, especially for those who need to listen to prospects call to QS their employees and of course get to understand their audience better.

Marchex does a fantastic job of offering stable and consistent Call Analytics data along with friendly, helpful, and prompt service reps. Where Marchex falls short is the lack of great user experience and intuitive design.

Pros
  • It is reliable and never goes down.
  • The reporting is simple to use and provides the right data.
  • The customer service is great, they always answer the phone.

  • Marchex is really great at recording calls. Our clients can see if there are any internal issues to address with their own employees and systems in place. Many clients believed that the message was the issue but once they were able to listen to their calls, they saw that they needed more internal training on closing leads and making sales.
  • Marchex is a really great solution to gauge the effectiveness of a message and which medium was more effective in delivering that message. For instance, we can let our clients know if their sales pitch worked best for driving leads through radio, tv, internet, etc.

Cons
  • Improving the reporting to include graphic displays/data visualization natively rather than exporting to Excel.
  • Customize call length reporting and filtering. Options now are <1 minute, 1-5 minutes, etc. But < 2 minutes is a better option because it takes a minute just to get through prompts and listen to a voicemail greeting.

The only reason we would not use IfByPhone again is if our resellers do not need another IVR Solution.

We renew Marchex each year, we love it! It's a great investment. It's woven into a few of our products that we offer our clients so we wouldn't stop using it any time soon. The clients are big fans of it

Support Rating
They were typically easy to deal with, and solved our issues quickly, especially later in our use time. In the beginning, it was sometimes difficult to get a fast resolution because the nature of our problems resided in partnerships that they had with vendors for telecom routes.

Alternatives Considered
DialogTech was our current vendor but we were exploring other options because our sister brand, Fitness Together, was utilizing Call Rail. We stayed with DialogTech because we were able to add more features and get a better price[.]

I believe that the way in which Marchex solutions are shown leaves you with a secure feeling that the service is accessible and easy to understand. This makes you choose it even among other platforms with more marketing disclosure. Undoubtedly, it is the service that makes you sure of the purchase.

Return on Investment
  • We were able to get real-time feedback on the success of marketing campaigns and put more money toward them.
  • Conversely, we were able to pull money from campaigns that were not performing, which we knew quickly.

  • Overall, like all call tracking, Marchex allows for determining what, if any, leads are coming through from channels. It hasn't lead to increasing ROI, just tracking it.
  • The cost for Marchex is generally more expensive than other call-tracking software in the space. That being said, some of their features maybe a good addition for these businesses. However, the cost isn't as competitive.
  • I do not have any complaints with the performance of Marchex, only with their on-rails experience, which tries to drive more people into more features than are necessary.
