Deltek Talent Management vs. Mitratech TalentReef

Deltek Talent Management is the best way to know exactly what type of performance your employees are having. This platform is the best option to consider for those companies that constantly recruit new employees, since it has a functionality to monitor the performance of these new candidates, in addition, it allows to know if these new employees are fulfilling their activities, Deltek monitors fulfilling assignments on a daily basis. Deltek collects data in real time about the tasks performed by employees, performs an automated process to highlight employees who are performing better in their assignments, in addition, it has an excellent compensation system, capable of providing recognitions, certifications and labor bonuses to encourage "top" employees to continue performing their activities. I definitely recommend it for any company, it adapts quickly, it is easy to use and its panel is very simple.

I rarely give 10/10, mainly because I have learned that that we can always learn new things and to grow. Thus, I feel that same applies to Talent Reef. While I struggled a bit in the beginning to use this application, It is probably that struggle that has made me a better user for being so persistent at using it. Now that I have more than just the basics I think for any size company the functionality of the program will work for them.

• As an Administrator of the talentReef system, I have access to all applicants for every store across our system all in one location.
• It is a one-stop function for virtually all of our new hire paperwork.
• We have not gone entirely paperless with our employee files, but talentReef would be of great benefit to us if/when we choose to move in that direction.
• The system is relatively easy to learn for store users with all levels of digital expertise.
• The cost to the organization is extremely reasonable.

• Consultative support - it doesn't exist!
• Timely response to service requests (some requests have taken MONTHS to get resolved).
• More robust reporting.
• More transparency with system upgrades without blaming the client for making changes to the back-end when the upgrade has adversely altered the current functionality.

• Applicant flow is terrible. You can post jobs on Indeed for free, and receive a better applicant flow than posting through TalentReef. TalentReef was unable to provide any reasoning for this to happen
• If you want to change/edit your onboarding documents, you need to e-mail them to support. This can sometimes take more than 48 hours to accomplish, and more often than not, was not done as requested
• Customer Support is terrible. When they respond to you, they do not answer the question fully or provide any alternative solutions
• Pricing is very high. There are numerous other alternatives in the market that provide better services for half the price

Their support and assistance was timely, the system wasn't overly complicated and it simplified the sourcing process stem to stern

HRSmart is a basic, antiquated ATS that does not meet current challenges organizations face. Reporting and analytics is basic.

I used a program called iCFM previously, which was more for budgetary analysis. It was not as detailed as Deltek Talent Management is which seems to cater more to team management and is a better option to use for such tasks. I have not used iCFM for about 3 years now so I am unsure if that has been improved.

We came from Info PeopleAnswers and used their ATS for years. Prior to going to talentReef, we looked at CareerBuilder's ATS and at Snagajob's ATS. At the time, neither had the integrated onboarding and exporting data components. I also like the feature of the posi-fit questions.

• So far we have reduced turnover in the year that we have been using HRSmart (although can't be sure it is a causation relationship)
• Some hiring managers are a little frustrated by the new processes, as individually they don't use the software enough to be familiar with it yet.
• The ATS has allowed us to track information we weren't gathering before (such as referral sources for new hires) so we can focus our recruitment budget on the avenues that are giving us the most success.

• Our initial ROI was having the ability for our applicants to apply online and move away from paper. This was a must, so we can compete for employees in our area.
• Our next ROI was improving our onboarding process. The TalentReef onboarding process protects us from having incomplete files and it also saves us labor due to the process being quicker and efficient.
