Corel VideoStudio Pro vs. EDIUS Pro

I had to present a variety of different opinions and find the common ground among them. Corel VideoStudio Pro allowed me to showcase two, three, even four of these at a time. What especially impressed me were how many transition features were available, which allowed me to make my presentation without worrying if it was "fresh" enough. I would hate to be boring. The audio editing was also simple to use, and overlaying and syncing it to the video was an intuitive process. I was able to complete everything in time, and the response I received was great. I feel confident now when having to perform similar tasks and create such projects.

EDIUS is well suited for: -News production -Multi-camera productions -Documentaries -General purpose television productions -Corporate videos, YouTube videos etc. EDIUS is less appropriate for: -Cinematography -Special Effects -Commercials production

• Very light program runs almost on any PC! It can handle almost all today's available codecs and video formats along with any kind of graphics, sounds, and other media.

• The interface could look a little more modern
• It was hard sometimes to cut at the exact right location
• A zoom feature would help to make the right adjustments on a minuscule level

• I would like to see some improvement with keys effects, and specifically Chroma Keys and Masks.
• Adjustment layers like Adobe Premiere would be a nice feature too.
• EDIUS of course has adjustment layers as filters, but it would be most convenient to have separate adjustment layers on the timeline.

It keeps simplicity and power in one program at a very fair retail price. Features are clearly marked and I feel spending about an hour with the program will make it a valuable asset to most organizations. Great for creating videos based on templates and a need for quantity. I can't imagine anything easier or better.

I haven't reviewed any other products, as I've been using [Corel] VideoStudio for 10 years now. I really don't have a need to switch.

• Helps make our web product pages stickier to increase time on the page

• Creates more leads and sales
