Cofense Vision vs. Microsoft Defender for Office 365

It is well suited in environments where there is a high mail traffic to handle. [Cofense] Vision basically journals the exchange server and keeps a copy of the mail received in the environment. Really beneficial to revoke and quarantine the mail reported by one user, but footprint is there in other mailboxes as well. Less appropriate in the cases where there is no proper segregation of duties within the organization. As it is possible to see contents of the mail. Only authorized personnel should be able to use it.

It's well suited for our physical deployment of remote people and sort of a SaaS company. It exists in cyberspace, so that's really very constructive. Where it's not, these sort of very specific data sets and sort of identity protection for customers, it's not as useful and it may not be one of its core purposes, but we're trying to use it for that as well.

• I mean, Microsoft is a good tool. It's a good and helpful solution, and we leverage on all of their capabilities, I would say.

• Some of our important emails went missing and we can find them in Cofense Vision and it needs proper checking in order to retrieve email.
• There are no other cons I could think of as I have not encountered any other so far.

• I think it needs to be tuned correctly. For example, afterwards I tried to go in and print once after the implementation was done, I went in and tried to print a file or export a document. Just not possible, which just means it's great, works really well, but it also means that you have to tune your data categorization very carefully.

Agari Phishing Defense is extremely easy to use software, with an immediate response capacity in the presence of phishing, but Cofense Vision is a tool with flexible implementation and a great capacity to adapt to the needs of each company, as well as having a high level of integration with other software and its great capacity to carry out searches, detection and give rapid responses to incidents that is why we have chosen Cofense Vision.

They are not entirely in the same category, or have the same functionality, but before we had Microsoft Defender for Office 365, the only security we had was in the form of Zscaler products, and filtering and inspection, etc done by our service provider which was Orange Business Services at that point in time. However, I'm sure this stacks up very nicely amongst the others out there.
