I have and do recommend WP Cerber Security, even when it couldn't be added on the WordPress plugin page in the WP admin area.

I was very satisfied with the implementation. The only suggestion, which may be better now than when I implemented years ago, is a better getting started with standard, best practice, settings for WP Cerber Security which I could not find at the time. That said, that was 8+ years ago. I am sure it is better now.
