Cherwell Asset Management (discontinued) vs. IFS Assyst

For small industries, it can prove to be a better solution as Cherwell offers comparatively affordable costs for small organizations. But for larger companies, there are many other solutions available in the market that are less complex and offer a variety of additional features. It can be a little complex to use because of its high configuration.

I would suggest that in this product class, you get what you pay for. Although it is was sold as SAAS with a nearly 'plug and play' implementation, at least one full time highly trained admin is needed for ongoing support. I would advise a team implementation strategy.

• Service requests, incident, problem, and change management
• Knowledge mgmt is not-existent - the product uses a WIKI for it's own knowledge base.
• Axios help desk does is not knowledgable and does not follow up on reported incidents
• Training is incomplete - no real resources available except billable by the hour.

Cherwell support has been excellent! Always available to take our emails and calls and get back to us quickly.

Cherwell Asset Management is a quite known and affordable solution for Asset management for organizations where there are more than 800-1000 users as it provides a complete integrated solution. There are many additional features that are available in Cherwell which is not available in other solution, like tracking of cost, management of procurement, etc.

Axios assyst outperforms JIRA in every aspect, JIRA is a good job system but when it comes to complex processes and configuration management then JIRA is simply not the right system.
