Check Point Next Generation Firewall is a great solution for larger companies that have the ability to dedicate a large budget towards information security controls. In order to get the best return on investment, however, the company should have a highly functioning information security maturity level and the ability to invest in dedicated training so that all features are utilized effectively. The SmartEvent dashboards are able to provide ongoing data that can track this effectively.
Without reinventing the wheel, SafeDNS is effective in preventing employees and customers from using our information material in an inappropriate way and this, by user group, because of course, we do not have the same needs from one department to another. I recommend it to any serious company that wants to limit access to certain types of websites that may be inappropriate or offensive. The application is not limited to that, but in our case, that's what we were interested in
Protecting sensitive data: By monitoring and controlling the internet activity on the back-end systems, the startup can protect sensitive data such as customer information, financial transactions, and other sensitive data.
By using SafeDNS to monitor and control employee internet activity, a headless e-commerce startup can ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to internet usage, such as data privacy and security laws.
SafeDNS can be configured to block unwanted traffic, this can help to keep the server and the network resources in optimal state, and also it will help in preventing DDoS attacks
Check Point has a variety of support options that can be used to optimize your investment in the product. Companies with a larger information security and certified checkpoint engineer employee base can benefit from a standard SLA, while companies with a smaller security engineering footprint or more critical implementations can opt for premium, elite or diamond packages that even include the ability to provide on-site engineers for major security incidents. Check Point PRO support also provides the ability to outsource maintenance concerns by automating case creation and follow up when application components fail.
I believe this has been covered prior - Smooth migration and very minimum downtime for a big FSI client. Our FSI client now also wants to integrate it with other 3rd party vendors which will be a part of Q3 or Q4 this FY
One key difference between the two products is that SafeDNS is a cloud-based service, while WebTitan offers both cloud-based and on-premises options. This means that SafeDNS is typically easier to set up and manage, and can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection, while WebTitan's on-premises option gives organizations more control over the deployment, configuration, and management of the service.Another difference is that WebTitan also provides features such as advanced threat detection, which can detect and block zero-day threats, and a feature that monitors and report on the user's activity, while SafeDNS primary focus is on internet filtering. In terms of pricing, SafeDNS's pricing model is subscription-based, whereas WebTitan offers a mix of subscription, perpetual and pay-as-you-go license options.
Although there are better alternatives out there, Check Point delivers results for the price we paid for the system.
Since implementation, we have not have any major issues with the product, minor issues were resolved in a timely fashion.
Check Point currently fulfills our need for an outside facing firewall, when our organization grows larger, we will be looking at higher level enterprise solutions.
