OfficeTools by CARET vs. LexisNexis Juris

For a small office or team keeping track of multiple projects at once can be a challenge. OfficeTools provides an all-in-one affordable (less than $60 per month) and accessible (cloud based) project management solution to keep your team on task. If your organization uses products such as Quickbooks or Outlook you can easily integrate them into this software solution. I honestly cannot think of an organizational structure that would not benefit somewhat from integrating OfficeTools into their operations

LexisNexis Juris is well suited for our firm because of the case management integration (Time Matters). The ability to keep track of your time within a specific case without having to switch between applications is a huge timesaver.

• Timers are available within each new time entry.
• LexisNexis Juris can quickly look up client matter information and billing details.
• Attorneys are assigned timekeepers, which allow them to monitor associates' hours billed.

• Customizability (i.e. font size, workflows, etc.)

• LexisNexis Juris could allow for more time entry filters, such as filters for specific entries that include the same matter name.
• Task and activity codes could be more streamlined.
• LexisNexis Juris could provide more reporting options.

OfficeTools is by far the easiest project management tool that I've ever used. It is very user friendly and easy to pickup. That cannot be said for other products that I've used in the past
