The platform is well suited for delivering a unique and elevated experience for guests. Also, events with 200+ attendees. I would not recommend using Communique for simple and very small events. There are dozens of cheap options for these.

Cons
  • The biggest drawback that I am facing for a long time is that BigMarker is not very effective while integrating with other third-party software [in my experience]. It was not an easy task to set up with other meeting platforms that I was using already in the organization.
  • Secondly, the audio starts lagging, and sometimes the audience cannot listen to the audio which [I feel] needs to be fixed on an urgent basis.

Usability
BigMarker is a great piece of software and provides a good solution for our live streaming service.
Its very usable and due to its full feature set, we are able to quote on jobs quickly knowing that BigMarker is capable of meeting the clients needs. We find the remote guest feature to be somewhat limiting, but only because we are looking to provide very polished video to our clients, we use external software to stream direct to BigMarker.

Usability is critical with virtual events both for our team to set up and administer as well as for our attendees. Communique Conferencing is easy for our team to administer. We survey our attendees during and after virtual events. The feedback regarding usability is very positive.

Support Rating
The support staff is exceptionally doing well. They
are always available for the solution of queries. Listen to my queries very
patiently and provide a solution of problems in the limited time duration and
solve the query. The technical staff is also working well. I recently faced some
errors in handling the progress of tasks and I send the feedback to their team,
they responded to that feedback and corrected these errors and bugs immediately.

Alternatives Considered
None of the other software we tested before choosing BigMarker had a full feature list that worked so well for events. Zoom, which is the go to software for many of our competitors was very limiting, although there was some effort needed to educate our client that there was a better way. We also use Vimeo, but this is only for simple live stream video delivery, Vimeos Q and A and other features are very basic in comparison. GoToWebinar doesn't compete

We found out the hard way that there's a lot of smoke and mirrors in the virtual event space. We had no idea the level of proper vetting we should have done before hosting a client event with our reputation on the line.
  • Support: The PM was located in our time zone and way more responsive.
  • Platform: It's hard to assess platforms on one 60-minute demo. When it came down to hosting a virtual event there were a lot of limitations with the other platforms (e.g., no ability for booth reps to proactively chat with visitors, no ability to search for other attendees, no ability to send broadcast messages to communicate to attendees during live days, etc.). Communique Conferencing had all of these and was easy for attendees to use.
  • Data security: We are a financial firm, so data security is huge. We did not realize the lack of basic attendee data security with some of the other platforms until our IT team performed and assessment. Communique Conferencing was one of the only platforms that passed.
