BigHand Outlook Send Assistant vs. Zscaler Data Security

For a large company with lots of data it is a fantastic solution and much needed. This is probably not suited for very small organizations as it might be overkill. Organizations with lots of sensitive data such as PII, federal agencies or health care will greatly benefit from this product.

• If the policy is set correctly, it identifies DLP (Data Loss Prevention).
• Scanning zip files to find executables works really well.

• The DLP dictionary functions need to be expanded upon, such as matching all regex patterns with any phrases and vice versa. The only way to do this today is to create two dictionaries and then use an engine to combine them; however, this approach loses the ability to utilize proximity.
• Regex does not support lookaheads.

Zscaler Data protection must be used in conjunction with other Zscaler tools where the others are stand alone. It is mainly the cost that drove us to look at Zscaler's product again, although, we do still use Proof point for DLP and email security

• Positive - Product reliability and effectivity.
• Positive - Deployment and securing the environment.
• Negative - Pricing are on higher side among the peers.
• Negative - Customer Support has to be improve with skill engineers.
