Beta Family vs. TestFlight

It is very important to take advice from others before [launching] any service. This is what Beta Family has helped us do, as it helps us find testers from all targets to use our app and give us honest feedback on our service.

The most appropriate scenario in which TestFlight can be used is when we are in a very large project and we need several people to be able to test the build that we have created. The least appropriate scenario would be when a user is starting to learn to develop applications in iOS since simply by using the tools that Xcode gives, what is the programming IDE. You can test the applications on your device or in the simulator, but this is a really good tool to learn in that scenario but is not mandatory.

• It allows you to specify exactly what testers should do.
• Get answers from testers thanks to the questionnaire.
• Select testers according to several criteria.

• Invite users to test our apps.
• Collect valuable feedback.
• Sharing a public link to our apps.
• Involve a very large number of users.

• The number of testers is still a bit low.

• Not for everyone, you'll need iOS developer to set up.
• You have to have an iOS running device

Previously, I would ask my friends and family to test my app and get their advice. It was complicated to convince them not to have an interesting reward. But with Beta Family, I can target people who are interested in the service and who can give me interesting feedback.

When it comes to simplicity and effectiveness, TestFlight makes it much more appealing to run multiple test cycles and get much hight reporting than in cases of the competition. In some cases, the knowledge ramp-up speed is worth focusing on TestFlight as it's super fast and intuitive, and easy. Almost like it's not required at all.

• Our product was improved thanks to the feedback of testers.
• We got some great feature ideas from the testers that we added to our product.

• We dont follow this data so far
• I can say the positive impact does when we get early access to a tool and we can do the strategy from there
• We have some time spent in that and not all the new tools from the apps are great, so it can be negative sometimes
