Azure AI Bot Service vs. Oracle Digital Assistant

Azure AI Bot service works well if you need to support multiple channels like MS Teams, Slack, Facebook Messenger, etc., using the same code base. It also provides built-in connectors to LUIS and Azure OpenAI for natural language understanding and intelligence. Scenarios such as a low-cost chatbot without the need for LUIS or AI are the ones where Azure AI bot service might not be most appropriate.

As mentioned in pros and cons, it depends on the use cases. Most of the normal chatbot use cases can be handled by ODA. If you want to build a chatbot with menu style or conversation style (it is not straight forward but it can be done), ODA can be perfect. If use cases are to also include AI with emotional intelligence to make conversational more interactive and also be able to detect through AI engine automatically what a person would like to do or perform or ask, then ODA may not fit for it. If you also are looking for virtual agents through tighter IVR integration then ODA may not be right. There are a few limitations around the number of words in the text to voice feature.

• Assembles conversational AI encounters for our clients
• Adds regular language, discourse, and vision
• Sends to well known channels with insignificant code changes

• Oracle AI processes natural language well and the conversations pick a good flow.
• It recognizes pattern of behavior for more refined results with each implementation under machine learning.

• Our clients have reported that upon integration with Siri for voice commands, the results are pretty obvious (basic) Nd the conversation is unnatural.
• The languages it supports are very limited.

Azure Bot Service provides an integrated environment for bot development. Microsoft Azure Cloud is fully compatible and its security features. It's more important to pay attention to the logic of business than the specifics of each messenger. We don't have any issues using the bot framework because the implementation is excellent.

Microsoft offers robust support without a high amount of extra cost to add this product on into our existing support contract. No new onsite personnel as required and training sessions and manuals were included. Very fast response and problem resolution were made available. Detailed configuration guidance was provided at no extra cost. Patching was a bit too frequent.

Azure Bot Services is part of Azure subscription so it is ideal to have apps working [on] one platform so as to manage resources effectively.

I selected Oracle Digital Assistant against all other digital assistant platforms as this platform works like a charm with any Oracle application. It integrates well with Oracle Integration Cloud. The new beta version has an inbuilt conversation builder which can be used to build conversation without the YAML code.

• Interfaces with the SQL data set, tracks down plans/replies, and tests them with the SDK.
• Utilizing the system is made conceivable by the Bot Dev gateway. We can interface our bot in excess of ten channels, including Twilio Facebook, Twilio, Twilio, and Slack, and that's only the tip of the iceberg.
• It is expensive.

• We've had a good integration with our existing databases and applications.
• Our customers are crypto traders and we've had more engagement with them, which means a lot to us.
