AWS Managed Services vs. Rackspace Managed Public Cloud

AWS Managed Services uploads very large files the fastest. When trying to use different platforms we work with, it just does not work. But AWS Managed Services can solve it any time. When returning to AWS Managed Services after a couple of weeks not entering the service, it is difficult, or almost impossible to find your previous file intuitively.

Augment current IT staff. Repeated tasks that can be part of a runbook. Setting up and tearing down of network services and servers.

• The interface is not user friendly
• Hard to track where you saved files
• Too much going on in the bucket, I see many irrelevant things, want to see only the files I own

I rated 8 as a very high rank since AWS Managed Services have great capabilities, so the quality is high, But the overall usage experience of the interface is no so friendly; it is very basic and looks like it is directed more to developers or science experts and less to other users that work with clients or prefer better UI/UX.

Due to their vast areas of expertise, they can be leveraged in different projects. They can also be used to augment the current architecture and provide redundancy as needed. We use their engineers to review architectures and get industry recommendations.

They are available when needed and the runbook is followed 80% of the time. There can be some missed processes, which can lead to problems.

We have not evaluated any other similar products. Quite frankly, we see no reason to do so. AWS Managed Services provides everything we need

We used hosting.com in the past. The customer support is significantly better. Knowledge of products is more. Better handling of expedited/emergency situations. Responsive to feedback. The account rep is available for any escalations. Due to the vast area of expertise, we leverage them for different aspects of infrastructure

• Allowed us to almost fully eliminate software install travel - Huge cost savings
• Has allowed us to move our customer base off of physical, onsite hardware and its associated problems
• Has allowed our organization to move to a fully remote workforce
