Avatier Identity Anywhere vs. ManageEngine ADManager Plus

Avatier is very well suited for large organizations that struggle with Service Desk getting swamped with password resets or unlocks. Giving end users the power to self service their issues is well worth the investment. In my environment, I even created Slackbot responses that triggered the Avatier site when a user said "reset password" or "locked out."

Any environment that runs on AD needs ADManager Plus. They have already built-in 95% of the queries and reports you will need. It provides a great window into your AD environment. The interface is very intuitive and for any reports or queries that aren't already packaged the product makes them easy to build

Support for this software is not the greatest. If the software is not completely down, it can take up to a day to get a response back. However, once they do contact you they are friendly and helpful.

Avatier’ s modules were extremely easy to use and showed the immediate benefit that we would be able to use in our organization. Also the ability for our organization to implement true access governance vs. our homegrown solution will provide us with an exceptional opportunity to be able to keep our organization ever opportunity to stay secure

We did not research any other applications. ADManager Plus was the first that appeared in our search. After a demo with their sales team, it was apparent that this was the application we wanted. The price was perfect too. We ordered it right away and implemented it within a couple of weeks.

• The main positive is the number of calls into our help desk or LAN team have gone down to a few calls a week; instead of the masses going to them on a daily basis.

• It has a positive impact in our business in terms of resource and time management.
