Asset Panda vs. xAssets IT Asset Management Software

It is great to keep track of all assets. I'd like to see a spot where we would put a link to any of our assets with GPS in them, so we do not have to go back and forth. The feature to put serial numbers for equipment is a great feature

We run a large environment where managing agents and clients would be difficult, but this software doesn't require either. We use it a lot from our iPhones accessing the software from anywhere in the office and even from home.

• Find the position of assets using their location and synopsis
• E-signature is used to assets
• Cloud based tracking from anywhere
• Assets assigned to users are easily tracked

• Network discovery--with no agents to manage is great and its very fast
• Reporting--custom reports, charts and PDFs; the software also emails monthly reports automatically
• Users only see the data and menus they need, so no training needed and the UI is focused
• No clients to install; we can use it from any browser and from our cell phones
• Upgrades are done quickly; we've never needed to get involved, as they do it for us

• Time-out settings on the website should be increased.
• Image structure on the way they organized photos could be improved.
• Barcode scanner on a mobile device could be improved.
• Photo editor could be improved.

Asset Panda is great for fixed assets or small businesses. I have also used inventory in a retail environment where product coming in and out need to be tracked. I wouldn't recommend it for an extremely high volume business.
