When we need to message the client directly from their file, it helps us keep track of when we last spoke with the client and manage any necessary information. Also, being able to see any changes made to the cases. I have not seen a less appropriate scenario. I feel like every improvement made in Neos has worked for the best.

Cons
  • Sometimes the updates are rolled out without a law firm minded person testing them. You can tell that technically they are well thought out, but when put to use in a firm setting, there are things that could have been easily identified by firm users and fixed before the initial roll out.
  • The wish list is a great idea, but when there are features to specific things that are not working, I would rather that be fixed to make that function usable rather than being told to put it on the wish list to possibly be fixed later on.
  • The integration with Microsoft typically works seamlessly. However we have been having more and more issues with the outlook integration.

I LOVE NEOS CLIENT SOFTWARE. I've been a paralegal for 30 years, and saw the technology go from hard files, to digital; and then from using Outlook and Excel to track everything to Needles, and then finally to Neos. I love Needles, but Neos is even better. It is the best client database I've used

Usability
This software deserves a ten not only because of the quality of the product you will get a the point of purchase, but also because it always improving on its features constantly. This software was very easy to learn compared to other programs that requires a prolonged acclimation time. I think it says a lot to have a tab or a spreadsheet for every instance in the litigation process.

Return on Investment
  • We noticed that with Neos, it gave us more insight into what our employees were getting done and not, so this was a positive.
  • A negative was that because of how advanced Neos is, our attorneys had a hard time learning it, which caused lots of problems.
