Arcserve SaaS Backup vs. UpSafe (discontinued)

We have various customers within the insurance and law sectors that frequently have to refer back to legacy emails and documents and having the luxury of indefinite backups mean it’s incredibly convenient to recover these files in the event local copies have been deleted. Where it sometimes falls down is when customers have wanted to recover emails that have allegedly been sent/received by disgruntled employees, but were sent, read and deleted in between backup jobs.

If your company is using a lot of G-suite products such as Gmail, Google Drive, etc..., it's easy to backup your important documentations and texts from email via Free Gmail Backup. You can also schedule your backup automatically. Very easy to use. One downside is this is only for Google users.

• Google Cloud Account backup app.
• All-in-one solution to backup your Google Account.
• Able to restore the whole Google account or just selected files or emails in a few clicks.

• Number of licensed users can be unclear at first glance.
• Items created and deleted in between backup jobs are never backed up.

• Sometimes it slows down your computer.
• It doesn't restore selected emails and you have to do it twice.
• The UI interface could be more aesthetically pleasing.

The support for this software has been very impressive. I have not had any problems as I have been using it for the past year. I never have to worry about what may happen if I lose a file because I know it can be recovered by the support provided here.

Barracuda Cloud to Cloud backup was never really given a fair comparison due to our existing relationships with Arcserve. From research and light sales meetings, the products seem to be the same premise with no real obvious benefit to either. Our choice was a matter of preference for vendor.

I prefer Upsafe Free Gmail Backup as it works to effectively save and protect our important brainstorms and conversations, as Google auto-saves in real-time. Cloud Backup for Office365 is slightly clumsier and harder to share as so many team members don’t pay for Microsoft Office since the Google Suite does pretty much the same work.

• Being so cheap, it’s easy to package and sell as a service.
• Being so convenient, it sometimes can drain internal resource as clients can rely on it too much.
• Great sales/pre-sales team that can assist.

• We have caught employees lying about email usage in the past.
• ROI is high, always being able to track where your emails/ files go is important.
