SilkRoad Onboarding is a component of the SilkRoad Life Suite platform. It includes functionality for onboarding, including electronic offer support, retention during Mergers & Acquisitions, and offboarding personnel. It is optimized for enterprise organizations.
We have recommended to at least two other colleagues. It helps to prevent dishonest time keeping. Manual timekeeping by a supervisor seems to create a lot of room for errors including forgetfulness of who showed up and when. It's nice to be able to track when each employee is working or how many people are on each worksite.

I like the idea of RedCarpet. If it was fully functional for us, I really think it would be a great tool to use. However, the lack of response and the response time itself in tech support is definitely a downfall for our company

Employee logs in and answers health-related questions before beginning work. They remotely provide their own timesheet information, adjustable by the administrator where needed.
Location at time of login is readily available. Distance from jobsite can be determined at any login.
Time for lunch is automatically deducted from work hours, logged by type of work interrupted, and easily adjustable by the employer if necessary.
Reports by employees of time spent on any type of work during the work day and work week are readily available. Work by job name is also available.

Employee Task Management: Red Carpet provides a customized welcome portal and system for task management, based upon each employee's location, role, department, etc. It allows the organization to build chronological tasks to complete on the front end, which seamlessly flows through as each are completed.
Streamlined Process: During the development process, it causes the employer to re-think its current onboarding process, forms, reason and timing for completing tasks, etc. This results in not only creation of electronic forms, but also an improved overall process.
Monitors workflow: Through visible tasks/colors on the back end, as well as reporting features, HR administrators and Managers/Supervisors can easily see where each employee is in their new hire process. Quickly view what tasks remain incomplete, as well as if an individual/team is causing a delay in the process.

It is easer to keep someing going then change things out. Our employees have taken 6 months to learn this one, I do not want to reinvent the wheel. Just this week I have seen inprovment as they now know they do not get paid if they do not clock in and back out every day.

It's easy for anyone tech savvy. It is kind of impossible to make anything even more user-friendly than it already is. The app itself has zero issues for all my staff. The admin side of things takes a bit more knowing and learning.

It takes a lot of training and reading up on the processes in order to use it, but once you've had a lot of trial and error, you figure out the system quickly. Once you put together a user guide specific for your company's use of the product, it's easier for new employees to use RedCarpet and understand the different functions within it.

I have had problems outside of normal business hours and I get a return phone call from them pretty quickly. There has only been I think 1 instance that I waited for too long to be able to fix my situation.

Support is adequate. They are about the same, and the expected turn around time is acceptable in the industry standard. We have no complaints with customer support. The tracking system is good and allows for updates to issues, so there are generally no questions where the case may sit with engineering or application support.

Gave a notice to all employees to come to work 15 min early on the day planned to implement the program. I had Spanish and English signs on how to down load the program and log in I showed them ALL how to log in and out and explained that they are responsible for reporting accurate time. I had them all sign a policy that lunch breaks were mandatory for all employees at least 30 min per day. This ensures safety on the roofs. We had a few people who did not have passwords to the app store and we had a few problems with android phones but most of them were on their way quickly. Most not happy about the change but I hope they see the benefit of it now.

SilkRoad's training/demo video was viewed well prior to beginning implementation. HR Team did not remember details and the video was not sufficient enough to understand all of the features within the system in order to communicate needs to the vendor/implementation expert. Implementation should have been walked through, step by step, by the vendor and each section of their required spreadsheet and the development of the portal should have been explained in depth.
We still use Sage, and ExakTime is compatible with it, which is why we went with ExakTime. So technically we use both at this time. ExakTime is a great pairing with Sage since Sage does not have any applications that let employees clock in and out. So we use ExakTime for that and then transfer the information to Sage for the reporting and issuing of deposits/checks, etc.

We have previewed several onboarding platforms, but none has come close to the quality and flexibility of SilkRoad Onboarding (RedCarpet). Prehire task management allows each department to do what they do best to prepare for the new hire's first day. Keys, computer access, and office spaces are prepared in advance, so each new hire feels valued.

Jobs/locations are listed on the app so employees can easily find the job they are working on instead of hunting through paperwork to find the location number

Positive impact to ROI, we don't have hard numbers for overall but just in time spent on chasing paperwork I would say we save a minimum of 20 minutes per new hire and we hire 600+ people/year.
We save an unknown amount on properly completed I9 forms since the system doesn't let you make errors that were always common on paper forms.
