GoVida is an employee wellbeing platform that proactively supports the mental and physical health of colleagues whilst providing real time analytics enabling organizations to build a data driven wellbeing strategy. GoVida is built around driving positive wellness habits and enhancing team engagement and as a result drives user adoption and engagement. GoVida's smart phone app includes: Activity Tracking (Direct integration with Fitbit, Apple, GoogleFit,…
I would recommend it as a tool to use in addition to other fitness/health tracking tools. I use other health apps as well (C25K, LoseIt, SleepIQ, Nike Run Club). I'd say its a tool among tools - not the end all be all tool. I do think the Apple Health Ecosystem (Apple Watch, iPhone) is unmatched.
GoVida has many options to choose from, so the user has a lot of freedom and variety for improving their health habits. The main function is step-tracking. This function comes with multiple challenges (individual and team-challenges) that motivate the user to complete their daily step count. The application also has a "Mind" section. I find that this is quite an original feature that separates GoVida from other step trackers and elevates it [as] a wellness application. The "Mind" section has a variety of audio sessions that are helpful for meditation, mindfulness, and overall psychological wellbeing. Lately, GoVida added an Emotion tracker where users are able to rate their daily emotional wellbeing. The ratings are anonymous. With this feature, we are able to see the overall employee emotional wellbeing and make institution-wide improvements based on that. Lastly, GoVida offers a leaderboard. At our particular university, we have quite a few employees that are motivated by competition, so even though GoVida aims for a holistic approach toward wellness, we are happy that it also gives the option to compete [with] those who need it.
I'd like see more robust tracking of foods/diet - this is a personal request - not necessarily driven by work issues, but calorie tracking would be a nice addition.
I find the "summary screen" to be convoluted and not compatible between other Apple Health Users - this is mainly due to differences in generations of Apple hardware.
I'd like to see a universal comparison of days for all metrics (Active Energy, Steps, Calories burned etc.
The mental well-being content is good but I'd like to see more of it
I'd like to see more functionality that helps the interaction with other colleagues during the challenges. We use Whatsapp at the moment which is ok but would be good if it was wrapped into the app
I've used Garmin and Fitbit - admittedly it's been a long time and those were early generations of a product - but the Apple Health devices that are available in todays climate are far superior to those initial devices that served very limited roles (only steps tracking). The heart rate monitoring/active energy calculations/etc all blow those early devices out of the water.
