Comparison of API Management features of Product A and Product B
Apigee has been great when managing the quota based access to the APIs. It is really good and suitable when considering proxying the in-house server endpoints access with the way it provides security with API Key validation and OAuth.
A large enterprise needs to manage hundreds of APIs across various departments. Its full lifecycle API management, security features, and advanced analytics provide robust tools for handling extensive and diverse API ecosystems. A company operates in both cloud and on-premise environments and requires seamless data integration. Its hybrid integration capabilities and pre-built connectors facilitate smooth data flow between cloud and on-premise systems. An organization needs to streamline and secure data exchange with multiple trading partners. It offers comprehensive B2B integration tools, supporting various protocols and providing efficient partner management.
I would appreciate it if it backed up more than just Desktop, Favorites and Documents by default. I'm not sure if this was something chosen by my employer, but it would be nice if the whole profile folder was backed up by default, so my pictures, music, and videos folders were included.
I am not the one deciding whether to use apigee or not really. But personally, I would recommend the use of it as developing APIs on it is easy. And as a mediator between backend servers, we could easily modify request and responses in it without touching any backend code while having a centralize gateway to access our backend APIs too.
It offers a wide range of powerful tools for API management, data integration, B2B integration, and more. Strong security features and compliance support add significant value. Flexibility to integrate across various environments (cloud and on-premise) enhances usability for diverse infrastructures.
Quite hard to get support, at least on the coding side, when we encounter blockers. But general concerns, they would schedule a call to you for them to get a whole picture of your concern. Albeit in my experience, bad really as they haven't replied about the progress, but otherwise seems to have been fixed.
Apigee is the best in the market in terms of API Analytics Apigee is having wonderful Documentation with short videos Security is a major concern and Apigee provides an easily configurable policy to secure API Quota and rate-limit is again very easy to configure on every API basis It provides various policies to transform the response from one form to another form e.g. JSON to XML or XML to JSON
I use CrashPlan for my personal PC at home. I think both products have their pluses and minuses. Both products allow you to backup your selected data to the cloud. CrashPlan doesn't easily allow for file sharing (CrashPlan isn't really a collaboration tool as much as it is a backup tool). Both products have easy restore options. However Syncplicity automatically restoring certain data when syncing with a new PC is very handy and a feature that CrashPlan doesn't offer
Unruly, difficult to maintain, unable to test, difficult to troubleshoot and debug. Every ticket that requires Apigee work increases stress and anxiety.
