Adobe Journey Optimizer vs. Pinpointe On-Demand

AJO is best suited for advanced Martech teams who are already bought into the Adobe ecosystem through the use of RTCDP, AA, AAM, etc. Organizations that are starting their Martech journey are good candidates, as well as those who are reevaluating all of their marketing channel vendors near the same time. Success in AJO is highly dependent on the number of marketing channels added. Close coordination with database teams is essential for success. Many of the offline data requirements benefit from modeling of the data. Having dedicated resources developing AJO (RTCDP)-specific views will reduce the amount of QA required to bring the solutions to market

Pinpointe is perfect for managing large numbers of contacts, including gathering new contacts and storing them throughout your databases, which can further be broken into lists and then individual tags for sorting and sending. Where it really excels is in the email marketing sector. We are able to send as many as several hundred thousand emails per hour, making sure all of our customers get time sensitive marketing material quickly.

• Stock photos included.
• Database separation & sub-accounts.
• Excellent multi-inbox previewer available.

• Invaluable webinars and training.

• It doesn´t keep the last search you sis in the journeys and you have to enter the search parameter every time
• there is a window of time during the day that the audiences give out errors and you can´t see the estimates
• I should be able to select STO in campaigns, not only in journeys
• I should be able to select the email parameters when using campaigns

• Depending on the amount, when I am in the middle of uploading a list of contacts I get bumped out and have to submit a request to increase my dataset. That being said, our company as a whole is happy with what Pinpointe provides us with as is.

Pinpointe On-Demand is a critical component of our marketing infrastructure and we will continue to use it to support our email marketing requirements

At times, Adobe Journey Optimizer offers too many options, making things less user-friendly than I would personally prefer. As mentioned earlier, there is a tendency to encounter decision paralysis with the increase in available options. While having options is excellent, in typical Adobe fashion, too many can be overwhelming for users

They are quick to respond to requests, usually within an hour. If they don't have an immediate fix to a problem, they let me know what the status is and what they are doing about a request. In some cases, if the development team needs to be involved because a bug is found, they have fixed and patched the system same day. Rarely do I ever get that kind of customer support response with any other company. They don't have a premium support tier because they treat every request with the same level of professionalism and response time (again, to at least let you know it was received and an actual person is looking at it, even if they are busy with other requests).

They both have their pros and cons, I feel it depends on the users that the products are targetting, SFMC is has more specialized customizations, Adobe does offer similar but require a higher technical knowledge which is not something that is provided bt the other product

Pinpointe is a great #2 for specialty campaigns. Our bounce rates were higher than with other providers. Pinpointe's detailed reports and interface are a step above the competition.

• Multichannel onboarding journey improving the engagement of freshmen in the business, resulting in a decrease in the dropout rate.
• Separate business of anticipation of receivables from suppliers that used to be manual and now I have connected this entire operation via the S3 connector, less manual work and significant gains in conversions and payments

• Our ROI has gone up significantly since using Pinpointe.
• We are able to use the coding to implement a join form on our website directly so we don't have to download from our website and upload to Pinpointe each time we want to add our contacts.
• Our emails show up white-labeled so it is our own branding on all emails.
