Siriusware seems best suited for organizations that are working with many programs and events that are running at different times. You are able to easily check registration for different events at the same time which is very helpful. If you have staff that are focusing just on data analysis and reporting then Siriusware would be very useful for them. On the flip side if you need to train seasonal staff on the point of sale and process multiple sales in a quick amount of time then this is not the best fit. The interface can be clunky and slow especially when you have internet problems.

Epicor Eagle is well suited for a retailer who wants to grow and learn the wide ability of the software. You need to invest the time to learn the tools and use them to grow. It is not for the retailer who is simply looking for a cash register. It is truly a business management tool.

Pros
  • Allows for many different types of reporting. The multiple fields allow you to filter by date, point of sale, property etc.
  • Allows us to process credit card transactions while not connected to the internet which is very helpful when out in the field.
  • With the tablets we are able to have multiple people selling tickets to an event at multiple locations.
  • Able to pull membership information and sell new memberships if needed.

  • Epicor Eagle N Series helps us immensely with our record keeping for our customers and vendors. I would hate to have to do all the research with the assistance of Epicor when a customer/vendor calls and request help with their account.
  • I really appreciate how Epicor keeps everything in a date/time order due to the situations that occur when a credit card user requests verification of their purchases/person who signed on their account. This make it so much easier to recall and verify (and lots quicker, too)!
  • It is a great help that Epicor gives us with our inventory. We don't have to do a large inventory search (most of the time) and it is quite accurate!
  • The Point of Sale usage is amazing (even with all the human errors that occur)! This comes in very handy with recalling a sale when someone is trying to do a refund, too.

Cons
  • Support is non-budging, "our way or no way" and will not consider options, adapt, compromise, etc.
  • Company seems so big (too big) that one department does not know what another is doing. Items advertised by sales were impossible from the perspective of the implementation team and then the follow-up support staff had little idea of anything that happened previously.
  • In some instances Siriusware (Accesso) support will not touch anything without someone in IT letting them in and waiting while they fix it. Other times a support agent will go rogue and completely change a user's set up with no previous discussion or follow-up on what they did/changed. Leaving us to figure out problems later.
  • They often will not listen or even try to understand special circumstances (many of which were shared earlier in the process) and simply say "we only do it this way!" This has left us to figure out our own solutions many times!

  • Reporting can be improved especially when it comes to accounting
  • Have an undo or back button with approvals to avoid all sorts of accidental mistakes showing up in the GL and their subsequent corrections
  • Add additional functions that are standard in some accounting systems with regards to AP, AR, and GL management

Eagle N series is a great tool. It really compliments the Eagle 4 Windows. The additional features are really nice to have. You can never have too much information. It helps me make better, wiser decisions. Eagle N allows compass functions without having to leave what function I'm in and see the additional information. GREAT TOOL!

There is a lot of information provided in Epicor. From Simple viewers to detailed information for the owner of the company, there is a lot of information. Also, let me mention, the Audit information. From a simple sku change to deletions, everything is recorded in an audit trail. It really helps to stop a thief or simply help you see what you did so you can undo it. Epicor also has a great security system. Their security bits allow you to decide who can perform what function. There are a lot of options to the funtions. This allows you to customize functions to your operation. We are not all alike!

When I call in for support, they connect to my problem, view my computer with me and walk me through a solution and fixing the problem. They educate you and explain in simple terms what they are doing, how and why they fix it. This way, you understand and feel more confident moving forward and I am more efficient using the functions next time. They really are very patient.

The process, from my point of view, was handled very well. It was a smooth transaction with lots of support both on site and by phone. All questions were answered and everything was explained each step of the way. A lot of information and support were provided including decisions on options and securities.

Any POS implementation is a lot of work, and a lot of learning for Admin, IT, management, end users, etc. This was selected by a consultant we hired. We have many regrets regarding the process, but are now kind of stuck and it is basically getting the job done. It is not ideal, but the people who chose this have learned a lot in the process.

I have used Horizon Retail Solutions, Microsoft Dynamics GP, and Eagle N Series. Eagle has been the best option of the three by far. By being fully integrated as one product, Eagle N Series keeps track of every transaction on an individual level. While I did prefer some of the reporting in Dynamics GP, Eagle N Series gives me more confidence in the financial performance of our company.

Return on Investment
  • Well, it's job security for me, but negative for the organization, as I spend a LOT of time cleaning up data that comes into our CRM from Siriusware, and fixing issues that could have been avoided. This is a needless expense for my company, but it is what it is.
  • Must have wifi. In our remote properties this can be problematic.
  • A lot of training seems to be needed for accurate use by the end user.

  • I can't say for sure that Eagle N Series has had a major impact on our ROI. We only use it on a few of our computers.
